That is usually a good theory to stick to if you have a national pool of players of the likes of France and England but as Dejagah has proved time and time again, it becomes irrelevant for Team Melli. I could entertain the idea of Reza taking his spot if he was on fire in the Eredivisie but I'm not having Ansarifard/Rezaei/Alipour/Enayati just because Azmoun isn't getting 90 complete minutes every week. There's not even that big of an issue given he's currently a starter for Rubin as things stand.
