JB probably featured in his TV show “Tiki Taka Touzani”. He is a famous Moroccan freestyle footballer who was almost a professional but then got a heavy back injury.

Alireza has been voted as the 2nd best player of the season by Voetbal Primeur:

"The votes for the VP Award 2018 have been counted and the winner of our election is known. This week, VoetbalPrimeur counts from the number five to the number one. Space two has become prey for Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The Iranian stylist was the flavor of AZ this season.

Various editors of VoetbalPrimeur found him the best of this season. Not surprising, of course: especially in the second half of the season there was no measure on Jahanbakhsh. In 32 Eredivisie-duels he made a contribution to no less than 30 hits from the fresh footballing team of coach John van den Brom. With you, our readers, the former NEC player turned out to be less popular. Jahanbakhsh received only seven percent of the votes.

              Most beautiful action (s)
That Jahanbakhsh has an excellent staircase in his right foot, we knew for a while. With ten league goals, the international last season also proved that he scores easily. He could not stop this vintage at all. Jahanbakhsh left the net already eighteen times. Many a goalkeeper crosses when the stylist draws from a distance. The most beautiful Alireza hit of this season was the epitome of subtlety. During a cup duel with Fortuna Sittard Jahanbakhsh painted the ball with a delicious lob over the keeper.

              Conclusion VP
We wrote it to Hirving Lozano, we wrote it to Matthijs de Ligt and also in the case of Alireza Jahanbakhsh we can not - unfortunately - avoid it: a player who is so head and shoulders in the Eredivisie, is probably not to be admired on the Dutch fields for long. There is a big chance that the fans in the AFAS Stadium will see their star player next Sunday at 16.30 for the very last time in the red outfit of AZ.

Jahanbakhsh (24) has exceeded all expectations this season. Dribbling, passing, felling, turning, shooting, scoring: the man who played in the Jupiler League three years ago can do it all. With Iran awaits him at the World Cup the group of death. Against Morocco, Portugal and Spain, Jahanbakhsh is allowed to display his class on the global stage. Shortly thereafter, a club from the Premier League, Bundesliga or Serie A will undoubtedly ring the Alkmaar cash register. "

^ actually not really as only 7% of people voted for him. It's more based on the VP staff's vote

Who’s number one? Find it hard to believe anyone had a better overall season than him. Well done JB, you conquered the Dutch league, now time to move to Germany or Italy ))

rumors are if sarri leaves napoli they will look to replace him with either Conte, Benitez, or Fonseca. All fantastic coaches of real pedigree. It is time for ARJ to work with this caliber of coaches that will get him to next level.

The editors rated him as the best player, but in the fan vote he was only second.
Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

My exact sentiments. I cannot think of anybody else in that league having shined more than him!

Alireza should pat himself on the back for the amazing season he had with AZ. He deserves to play for a better club and in a better league next year. It seems all fingers are pointing at Napoli.

I suppose this is not the official MVP vote but just a magazine dry run? I mean the season is not officially over yet?!

It took him a while but he proved everyone that what he did with NEC wasnt a one season thing, he is consistant and consistency is something big european clubs care about when making a signing.
