i remember caicedo got a passport immediately before transferring to lazio. Money talks and in football there is money

There are cons to every move , and risk always involved . Yes he could go to Napoli and get limited game time for the first months, but look at the bigger picture . This move opens up doors for our other guys , and motivates for some of them *cough sardar* to make a big transfer . Ideally he would move after WC , but if this is the all Napoli will offer ( Jan move ) he should take it. They are a top European team and on the level of the likes of Dortmund , athletico Madrid , arsenal , etc

Any major move before the WC is a risky move. All our players should sit tight and yet till after the WC.

If he can actually get a Dutch passport this summer, he shouldn’t move till then. It’ll open doors for a much easier career in Europe for him

Ideally all he has to do is to apply for Dutch citizenship when he’s back from the World Cup, and his request will be accepted by the municipality of where he lives. He does some exam to show he’s aware of the language, Dutch culture and such afterwards.

He then gets the Dutch (EU) passport, his future will be secured and other EU teams can offer for them a more profitable contract since he is no longer considered a foreign player on paper.

Despite this I genuinely hope he leaves for Napoli tomorrow. AZ is way below his level and Napoli is a great club for JB.

So you're saying he would have a better EU career if he gets his citizenship first but then you say you hope he leaves tomorrow? Im guessing you don't wish for him to have a better career in EU?

If he really can get a citizenship if he stays I'm sure he will stay

Its not like JB has been killing it for team melli, so I think this is more of a low-risk high reward move if anything...

If he has a chance to get his citizenship, better to remain till the end of the season. The offers will definitely come if he keeps up his current display.

I'm not against a transfer to a big club if it is true.
He's still 23 and given his potential will surely will continue to get good offers. Having an EU passport be a big bonus and open more doors.

AZ should look into Torabi as his replacement

If he goes, this would be amazing. Torabi will do great things for them too.

unfortunately I think they already have his replacement in Calvin Stengs. But it really would be ridiculous if 1-2 dutch clubs didnt invest in a couple iranian talents after the success of ARJ, Gucci
