Don't know what to say about football fans who really think Gucci is better than Azmoun, Ansarifard and Taremi? Rezaei is also better, not to mention Ghoddos. He's just unlucky that much more talented forwards have emerged, unlucky for him but lucky for us. He's a limited footballer, the only thing he's good at is his positioning off the ball (but he can't hold a ball upfront). Let's hope he'll enjoy TM in front of the tv like the rest of us, in other words let us hope he gets dropped.

Are some of you guys following teammelli/iranian football since 6 months? Both Gucci and Sardar are among our best forwards of all time. If nothing extraordinary happens (injury, drive-by-shooting etc.) both will 100% be in Russia this summer. Out of Rezaei/Ansarifard who both have been great so far, probably 1 has to stay home. However were only in december now so still a lot of time until then. Come on guys i know lot of us iranian get jaavgir quick but we're not exactly Argentina so Sardar/Gucci are not competing with Higuain, Agüero or Icardi for a spot.

I have a feeling Gucci will be the extra forward. Specially with Ghoddos addition.

Feyenoord versus Herenveen
The match will kick off in less than 1 hour. 20:45 CET.
Let's hope this will be a new start for Reza to shine and prove his quality again.

EDIT: apologies for wrong info. His name was in the starting 11 according to livescore an hour ago, but he is actually benched.

I wonder if Heerenveen would look to loan him. Is anyone here following Reza and his team closely? He used to be a 90 minute player every week scoring goals left and right now it seems like he is on the bench from time to time and not scoring. It would be hard to imagine a WC without him but with the way it’s lookig for him at the moment vs his competition I don’t think anyone would be shockedTeam Meli Iran

Indeed, Reza has been out of form for a while and naturally was replaced by Veerman. Too bad for him Veerman grabbed his chance and has been doing quite well. Too bad his form dropped in the WC year and besides our other forwards have been performing really well so far so it's going to be hard for Reza to make the final WC squad.Persian Pride running through my veins!

Reza is a purely a Finisher/poacher type striker, who's production relies heavily on quality and quantity of service provided to him in and around the box...!
Larsson and him had a good chemistry and the services provided and especially great bit of attention opposition defenders paid to Larsson's presence on the offensive front is mostly what provided Reza with the openings he needed to bury the ball in the back of the net.
In TM is the same shittt, he is hardly provided with decent service, except a few high balls and crosses which doesnt play to his strength, hence his recent struggles for goals in TM outfit as well..!!
but i tell you what, if we are forced into a "Must Score" situation at WC and we pure some numbers into the attack, him and Sardar are the only two who are most likely to actually score a goal from 2-3 half chances ..!! face it at WC, no team really get much time, nor many if any Clear cut scoring chances ...!! you still need clinical finishers such as Reza who make the most of the Little provided..!
saying all that, Reza is clearly now playing catch-up for making of the WC Roster...!! if not for Heerveen, at least for TM, he has to step up his performances @ TM WC Camps and score some goals in Friendlies, if wants to make the Russia trip
