I think he will move to a Persian Gulf league after the World Cup, he's past his prime and probably wants to secure the future of his wife and new born child. I wouldn't blame him anymore. We have tons of younger talented strikers who are lining up to replace Gucci in few years.

"Heerenveen player has 1.1 million followers on Instagram: "Unable to compare"
1.1 million followers on Instagram, about 66,000 on Twitter: sc Heerenveen attacker Reza Ghoochannejhad is especially popular in his homeland Iran. The contrast with the quiet Friesland is great. In the north of the country Ghoochannejhad quietly on the street.
"In Leeuwarden I sometimes get recognized on the street, and then it's time to say hello and then it's done", says the 30-year-old striker in conversation with Voetbal International. "Iran is very different, of course, where I am known as a footballer, but I like it."
"People like football and if things are going well, then you are very popular as a footballer, football is totally different in Iran than in the Netherlands, you can not compare it."
"If you play in the Premier League with a club from the top three you can go home after a game, whether you win or lose, which is not in Iran", continues Ghoochannejhad. "A parallel world? Yes, that's what you can call it." "I like it too." Iran can be very busy, in Friesland it's nice and quiet. ""
