I think this may be the most intriguing list of all WCQ rounds to this point. Many options, and very interesting to see which young talents will be brought in, which traditional guys will be left out, and which new legionaires make it in ( Rezaei , Ghoddos, back in form ARH )

CQ urgently needs to build two entire teams for Russia.

The last world cups, there is always exhaustion for the final game, because many of our players are just not used to the intensity of three huge games in a short time period.

With a lot of our internationals not starting for their teams, nor in leagues where fitness is paramount, and some even without a club still, the way things going the fitness levels will be poor. The players who haven't had a year of regular competition in a top league will only be able to exert themselves in 2 out of the 3 games.

No other country will have so few players playing regular, consistent high-level football by the time of the WC the way things are going. So he needs an entire back-up line-up.

Im actually liking the noorafkan call up. Although he wasnt that great in the WC u20, he has been arguably esteghlal's best player in the last year besides ebrahimi. I think CQ sees how talent he is at just 20, and thinks that him and saeid could be our defensive midfield axis in the future. If ali karimi sorts out his club future then he would be competing with them for those two defensive mid spots. I hope he plays vs Syria with saeid.
