regardless of all his faults and irrelevant of his scoring knack, he has a good size frame and physical presence, defensive hustle/work rate and intelligent movement off the ball is very commendable and he is very likely to make the WC Traveling squad regardless of his stay in IPL, yet again this season..!
nevertheless as you mentioned he is still chancing never reaching his potential and possibly even making the WC trip if his domestic scoring form suffers this season at pp and players such as Samman increase the competition for WC spots in TM..!

You know, if he stays grounded and works hard , becomes a starter for SS , CQ might very try him out at least in some friendlies. So interesting that from the U20's he played only about 4 minutes, but guys like mehdikhani,jafari,soltanimehr,etc are nowhere near on the same hype level now.

he has not the same stamina and physical stability as ali karimi had. Ali Karimi developed also to a gholdor player and strong physical player. i do not see him reaching this level. but he can be still a very good player. he seems to be a player like valbuena. he is short.

another good player is gholizadeh from saipa. he can also be a good player this season and in the future.

gholizadeh deserves a TM callup in place of amiri. I know he has been loyal to TM and is a speedy, hardworking winger, but this kid gholizadeh is on TM level. His dribbling and speed is probably the best in the league atm. And physically he is not very small or skinny.

I think saipa played really good and dargirane in its game against esteghlal.. i didnt pay attention to their induvidual skills but more on their team pressing and it was really impressive imo. but if you say gholizadeh is rly good i wil trust you
