Hope I'm posting in the right area, but I came acfross this today:

So Sydney already has a world class stadium, but talk about a country that wants to take their sport seriously, they are planning to knock the whole thing down and rebuilt it at $1.1 billion !!!
Here we are still using the same stadium from 40yrs ago with barely any upgrades
Anyways thought I share...

-Only took 30 years to build a nuclear power plant
-Haven't built a new refinery since the Shah's time
-Took only 15 years to build a new airport in Tehran

The list goes on an on my good sir.

I don't think IR has spent 1.1 B on Iranian football since the revolution let alone on one stadium
