The Norwegian league is over (and the same applies to most Scandinavian leagues I believe). I think it is better that he is at least playing for the rest of the season as opposed to sitting around or just training.

Norwegian source denies any agreement with Sanat Naft:

"Sosha Makani must have confirmed transfer to Iranian club without Mjøndalen's permission

Hinter even against an appointment on their own Instagram image.
It goes against a new loan for Mjøndalen keeper Sosha Makani. The profiled Iranians were among the best OBOS leagues last season, despite the fact that Mjøndalen lost to Ranheim in playoff for promotion to the Elites series.

On his own Instagram account, where Makani has almost half a million followers, the Iranian national team skewsman is hoping to approach a new club.

      - New challenge, new club, new life, Makani writes on a picture of himself, and several in the commentary he welcomed the club Sanat Naft Abadan.

      Must have confirmed
On social media, journalist Pasha Hajian claims to have talked to Makani, who must emphasize that he is ready for his new club.

"I just spoke with Sosha Makani, and he has signed with Sanat Naft Abadan. That's true, writes Hajian on his Twitter page.

Sports director at Mjøndalen, Kenneth Karlsen, confirms negotiations with Abadan, but says that an agreement is not clear.

      - That's right, but this is okay is a strong exaggeration. They are a current club, but lots of dialogue and confirmations remain before this can be realized. We are considering possible lending solutions for him, "says Karlsen to Nettavisen.

      baffling
He does not understand how Makani himself has been able to confirm a transition as the stand is now.

"It seems very strange as we are far from in a proper dialogue with the club. What is always the clubs that decide this, says Karlsen.

He says they are open to lending Makani on the spring as he is fighting for a place in Iran's troop for the World Cup in Russia next summer. Per now, it may indicate that a loan to Abadan may be applicable, but that some work remains.

      - An international transition is complex. With Iran it is definitely very challenging. Both communication and culture. We do not even have the same calendar and letters. We appreciate his wish for playing time against the World Cup, and try to make this happen, "Karlsen says.

He confirms that at the moment it is a lending that is most relevant for the 31-year-old, who earlier this year was on loan in Strømsgodset in Eliteserien.

Karlsen confirms that Makani is in place in Iran, but that this is about vacation.

"There is a lot left, they have to confirm an agreement, transfer money, papers are going through FIFA in a regular way, etc. What Makani writes is a little irrelevant in this context," Karlsen says."

Considering there is huge cultural gap in how business is done abroad...PGL players who transfer to European leagues need a 101 lesson on "No more Amoo/Ameh Bazi: Business-e Karegi".

Sosha bringing his Spongebob pants to Abadan. Probably getting football advice from Spongebob too to leave like Taremi/Rezaeian left Turkey.

Sosha already left Abadan. Looks like Sanat Naft couldn't reach an agreement with his current club.

sosha is a bache sosool with no professionalism. He thinks by coming to Iran CQ will invite him.. Haha he wont make the squad. Beiravand, Haghighi, and Akhbari will make the WC squad. It would be cool have Abedzadeh if something happens to our 3rd keeper before the WC.

According to Norwegian media from today, Mjondalen has stated that they are currently in negotiations with Sanat Naft about a possible loan for Sosha. Nothing has been agreed to as yet:

"Makani can be rented to Iranian club

MIF is in dialogue with the Iranian top-ranked club Sanat Naft Abadan regarding the rental of keeper Sosha Makani (31).

It's no secret that Mjøndalen's Iranian top keeper Sosha Makani has a goal to play for his home country in the summer's World Cup final in football in Russia. In order to have a better chance of joining the Iranian World Cup squad, Makani wants to play for a foreign club this winter. As there is a drive in Norway.

The Iranian top-ranked club Sanat Naft Abadan will lend Makani for six months, and has contacted MIF for this. MIF and Sanat Naft Abadan are in dialogue. Nothing is settled by now. Makani has contract with the Nedre Eiker club until summer 2019.

                      Will help Makani
"We need to take a round to what extent a stay in Sanat Naft Abadan increases Makanis chances for World Cup games, and not least how the framework for the deal can be for our part," says MIF sports manager Kenneth Karlsen, who may find that the keeper does not Coming back to MIF before the transitional window opens in August.

Karlsen says that MIF is willing to do this to help Makani, since World Cup games mean so much to him. And that the club has an oral agreement / understanding for this. Sportingly, MIF will of course have Makani all the time on the team. The 31-year-old has been a great success in those periods played for the brown trout - in the last two fall seasons.

In 2017, Makani kept Zero in eight of the twelve series matches he played for MIF. Simply a rocky statistic.

"The chances of coming to the World Championship by being in MIF without playing counting matches this winter is probably minimal, but we must also note that Makani may be gone for the summer, regardless of whether or not to rent. We can not exclude it either, "Karlsen commented.

Sanat Naft Abadan is ranked 9th in the Persian Gulf Pro League after 16 rounds and will play 13 series from January to the end of April.

                      - Important to me
Makani is registered with five A-lands for Iran. The last chance was last winter / spring from Mjøndalen to Strømsgodset, but only played one of the elite championships in Godset. It led the Iranian to the defensive in relation to the national team. In August, Makani was back in MIF.

"It is a big problem for me that there is no series game in Norway in the winter, and it is very important for me to be rented from January to April," Makani told DT a month ago.

He was not in the squad when Iran played private country battles against Panama and Venezuela in early November.

MIF's second-hander is the cameraman George Bokwe. He is stuck in the national team, but Cameroon is not eligible for the World Cup final in 2018."

Its good that he stays in a European team, and gets loaned to Iran. This way if the opportunity comes he can be sold to another European team, and Mjøndalen could potentially also have a WC player to sell in the summer.

Who cares if Makani plays in Iran or wherever at this point? I doubt he will ever start for TM.
He might as well go to Perspolis or Qatar and make his cash while he can

Mjondalen confirms that Sosha will go on loan to Sanat Naft. He will return to Norway on July 1st:

"Mjøndalen keeper Makani is hired to his home country

Mjøndalen keeper Sosha Makani (31) will be playing the Spring Season in his native Iran. The 31-year-old is hired to Sanat Naft Abadan.

Mjøndalen keeper Sosha Makani (31) will be playing the Spring Season in his native Iran. The 31-year-old is hired to Sanat Naft Abadan.

It confirms the 1st division club Mjøndalen on its website Tuesday.

Makani signed for Mjøndalen in the summer of 2016, and was on loan to neighbor Strømsgodset in the spring season last year after a good harvest season. Upcoming spring season, the national team player will play in his native Iran to easily fight for the World Cup ticket.

"We believe staying in Sanat Naft Abadan increases Makani's odds for World Cup games. We also understand that Makani wants this and therefore we found out that this is the best solution now, says sports manager Kenneth Karlsen.

"In isolation, we would like to have Makani with us this spring, but the chances of joining the World Cup by being in MIF without playing counting matches this winter is probably minimal. We must also take into account that Makani may be gone for the summer, regardless of whether or not, or not, "he continues.

Makani has 1.5 years left of the contract with Mjøndalen and will return to the Norwegian 1st division in July."

Sosha has returned to Mjondalen but has not yet featured due to transfer paperwork:

Mjondalen 4:0 Levanger FT [July 22nd]:

*Sosha was not included in the squad due to his paperwork not being completed as yet.
*Mjondalen are currently in 4th place in the Norwegian OBOS-Ligaen and in a promotion playoff spot.
*The club reaffirms their first choice is Sosha even though their 2nd choice has featured and had good performances.

"The Iranian keeper Sosha Makani, on the other hand, must most likely see the match from the stand.
"We are unsure whether we will get Makani ready for Sunday. We are waiting for the football federation in Iran to send the papers that the Norwegian Football Association needs to get the transition in order, "says the MIF coach.

George Bokwe, Mjøndalen's 2nd keeper, will replace Makani on Sunday's game if the Football Association does not receive the necessary papers on the Iranian.

"George is a very good keeper, but Sosha has always been our first choice," Hansen points out."

"Makani transition papers were not completed before Sunday's match, which was why Bokwe watched the cage for the brown colors."
