As far as I remember South Korea has qualified with ease to each and every WC since 86. This is the first time they are in serious jeopardy. IF they lose to Iran they are pretty much out, since I do not see them beating the Uzbeks in Tashkent nor getting passed KSA/Australia in the playoffs.

I agree, it's bad for Asia because they won't be able to keep up with any teams in the WC, but I'd still get more enjoyment out of seeing SK crash and burn than I would any Arab team. They've tried so hard to hurt us in the past and the way their fans/team treated us in Ulsan is something I'll never forget.
