This is the most anticipated Team Melli list that I'm looking forward to - mainly because of Saman Ghoddos and also the Hajsafi and Shojaei situation.

honestly i wouldnt mind if Massoud and Haj Safi are left out (but off course, not banned ..!) and in their place Ghoddos and Khaveh given a chance to make a case for themselves..!
it is probably far more likely for at least 2 domestic players also get cut before traveling to SK ..!
these are official wcqs and CQ couldnt risk leaving out already familiar with his team tactic Ashkan and AK and instead rely on in-form debutants..!! CQ isnt that risky type of coach..!!

So , missing out are Shojaei and Azmoun. Sardar will be back in form soon enough and back on list. I believe only two of ghoddos, dejagah, and shojaei will make it. I would have hoped that for this list Dejagah would be left out due to not finding a club yet ( even though I am sure he will by the end of the week ) , but CQ has his reasons. Also for final WC list I hope amiri gets cut for rezaei. Karimi getting the callup is also strange, but keep in mind that ebrahimi is injured. If he is not in decent team and in form by the time WC comes, ebrahimi will definitely be on the list.Comment

Dejagah should be in. He has no club, okay, but i think he will sign soon before 31 August or as a free player probably even after 31 August or he will join probably Perspolis?
Ghoddos should be in, but probably not playing against korea, but given a home debut in Azadi against syria.
I am no fan of Shojaei football. Sometimes he plays good, but often not. So i do not see him anyway as a starter now or in world cup, with ghoddos and also other players we can replace him anyway. Hajsafi is slow, and also not that good anymore, but still i think he can do the starting 11 in world cup. But also Hajsafi must improve a lot again.
Dejagah should be in team melli, training and playing brings him forward, we must help him. if he does not find a club and match practice till the world cup he will probably be out, but i count him still one of the best players of iran currently.
