FINAL TM LIST: GHODDOS AND HAJSAFI IN, SHOJAEI OUT

Doesn't make sense to prefer Dejagah over Shojaei, not only is Shojaei a better CAM, being naturally better at this position, he is also performing well for his club while Dejagah is without a club. Also Montazeri and Ebrahimi should've been there instead of Karimi and Hosseini. Other than that, great list!

^ I guess the IR made a deal with him, hence the younger Hajsafi stayed on but the older Shojaei had to take the hit as he was retiring anyways and had a big mouth that the IR did not like but now at least he retired like a hero in the eyes of many people and perhaps himself. But all together, this was another clear victory for CQ against the IFF and the regime's thugs.Last edited by webmaster; 08-27-2017, 08:24 AM.__________________________________________________ ________________________________________

when dejagah finds his team, he will be much better option than masoud. Masoud does not participate in defense as much as akshan , and has a much slower style of play . that is fine in greek league and against smaller asian teams, but against top teams in WC dejagah is a much better option to back up ghodos, not to mention shojaei can only play cam and ash can play Cam or wing. idk why ppl are freaking out about shojaei not being in the squad.
Ebrahimi is injured or else he would have been in the squad in place of karimi . Montazeri is also injured. Only thing I would like to see is amiri out and kaveh in. I struggle to see what amiri brings to TM currently.

Players that should slowly be fazed out:
* Dejagah
* Vahid Amiri
* Shojaei
I would include Jalal Hosseini as well if he wasn't still our hands down best defender! The fact is, unfortunately, we don't have a defender as solid as Seyd Jalal (even at this age) and that includes Pouraliganji despite the latter's great skills!
I think Hosseini should even be included in the final WC squad. Not the least his experience will be invaluable for the young kids at the big stage.

imo, this is an excellent and very sensible list all around..!
Kaveh left it awful late to make a significant impression in EU (scored his first goal finally yesterday..!)by then the list was pretty much out and the invited players likely knew it probably at least 2-3 days ago..! besides currently our Offensive line is stacked as fk and he is completely unfamiliar with CQ's game tactics and a reminder that these games coming up are official WCQs (with Results still playing a vital role in our rankings) and not really unimportant test matches to get overly experimental with..! nonetheless, im fairly certain he will get an invite, sooner than later, probably before WC to make a case for himself in TM..!
from personality, dedication and professionalism, Massoud may well be one of CQ's most admired players ..!! but TBH, from purely football perspective, Massoud isnt purticularly a CQ-preferred Type of footballer, never was, especially so early on before his most recent resurgence of club career and incredible adaptation to CQ's overall more defensive and countering tactics. .!!
severe drought in CAM options gave him and Dejagha (even Heydari for a bit) a chance to reinvent and prolong their primary roles in carlos's TM. Massoud was probably most successful @ adapting and somewhat thriving in ACM role, since the position came natural to him and all he really had to do was to significantly up his fitness N form and defensive pressing.
Massoud still figures large in our overall WC18 plans as stated by Carlos himself and likely to return in the mix after WCQs are over..! that is unless he looses form n fitness and his club game suffers tremendously, or if Ghoddos tactically adapts super quick to that tough position and starts to have immediate, club like impact internationally too..!! even so massoud is very likely to make our Final WC squad as CM depth and a senior experienced leadership figure...!!?
im not too all too wild about Dejagha and AK invite either, (i definitely woulda been good with AK @ least getting dumped) but they are both experienced internationals and somewhat integral parts of our current system of Team Play..!
again i think, if these werent official games, chances are high that they woulda been ignored..!!
Hopefully their international call-up, sends a positive vibe to their possible suitor clubs as they look to make hopefully land a last minute EU contracts..!!?

People are looking way too much into the Shojaei/Hajsafi thing. If Panionios had never played that Damn Israeli team the teammelli list today would be the same with the inclusion of Hajsafi and exclusion of Shojaei. And I don't understand the continuous bashing of Shojaei. The guy was the best player on the field in our last game against Uzbekistan and voted best player for his club last season! The man is a jewel and we're lucky to have him. And as more reasonable members have already said, he is most likely being rested and CQ is just giving some other guys an opportunity.

Now, dont take this as a fact since iranian papers write all sorts of crap. But if this turns out to be true, then my admiration and respect for Shojaei has risen 1000 folds. While for Hajsafi, who capitulated? Not so much.
Anyone can confirm this stupid "apology" business?

As I said above with or without this fiasco the teammelli list today would be the same. Please stop over analyzing the situation!
