whoever thinks Dejagah should not be in the squad or out of World Cup squad, has no football intelligence. If everybody is match fit, 100% than Dejagah is still our best player. Jahanbakhsh and Torabi comes next.

We must help Dejagah, of course CQ will not take a player to the world cup without an club. Dejagah will find a club, no need to worry.

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!

yup. Im just unsure if he can start against SK without any match practice for 3 months. But im unsure who we would play there ? Unless he starts ghoddos right away.

There is absolutely no way anyone can show that Shojaei was excluded because of the whole Israel fiasco when Hajsafi was invited. Clearly CQ didnt give a shit about any of that political bullshit and once again made a decision based on just on factor... and that is what is the best squad to achieve results.

I love CQ and the way he approaches bullshit situations. The only thing I am surprised with is the inclusion of Dejagah and Karimi.

Finally, I hope Ghoddos gets some playing time. Really want to see how he performs.

It's highly unlikely for Ghoddos to start against Korea. Depending on the result, he may get some minutes towards the end.

I really hope he starts against Syria to get a feel of a competitive international match, rather than a future friendly.

Maye Quieroz should've thought about that aswell? The exclusion.of Shojaei doesn't make sense from a rational point of view so it has to be politically motivated.

Now, dont take this as a fact since iranian papers write all sorts of crap. But if this turns out to be true, then my admiration and respect for Shojaei has risen 1000 folds. While for Hajsafi, who capitulated? Not so much.
Anyone can confirm this stupid "apology" business?
As I have been saying all along, Shojaei's exclusion has nothing to do with Ghoddos' inclusion, CQ's alleged wish to rest Shojaei or the fact that Shojaei is getting older. The ONLY reason he was excluded is his unwillingness to knuckle under to IR. By being so ignorant and not willing to see the real reason, ppl here are not only fooling themselves, they also grossly disrespect Shojaei and the values he is defending.

Listen, I love Shojaei.. Both inside and outside of football. He's a role model for all Iranians.

But his play hasn't been exactly sharp lately, and even though hes fine wine, his age has been starting to show more recently. He's missed two penalties in a row and has been somewhat quiet for Iranionios in these last few games.

That being said, give CQ time to test out these new players. If Shojaei gets hot and doesn't get a call up the next time around, then ill think its maybe political.

Dejagah is in a terrible shape... why is he included and most probably starting against South Korea? He hasn't played in three months, only reason for Shojaei's exclusion is a political motive

                        respect CQ
He did the right thing. You cannot have too many players.
Ghodos id a big surprise or Koreans, they thought they knew TM mesle kae dast.
Shojaai with Ghotbi as a coah did so poorly against Korea. when you have so many good playersto choose rom, you dont need to get in fight with IFF or taj. there was a compromise and let it be. No need to use the disussion to take political shots. oh TM volleyball U19 just beame world champion .... congratulations coffee spill on my omputer disabled C and F. no, i was not at starb.... i boycott that place some time ago. markaze jaasoosbaazi

Sirvan jan, they play two different positions tbh. Yes, Ashkan can play CAM but hes a more versatile player than Masoud.

Dejagah believe it or not is still drawing interest from Bundesliga level teams and will find a team soon. I'm NOT a BIG fan, of inviting him this round since hes team-less, but I do understand why CQ did it

If we had not qualified or 2018 cup, CQ would have chosen slightly a different list. He is trying to give encouragement to couple o SS players because he wants them to think they have a chance to go to Moscow. Their team is doing poorly but he can see the talent in them. During the team practice and the running he will see if Dejagah is fit or not . He won't start anyway. when we are ahead by two goals and it is minute 75 then experiments will take place

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ghoddos start, or at least get to play more than just a few minutes. With the exclusion of Masoud, we really don't have anyone else who can play CAM except for him and a clubless Dejagah.

I think you are missing the point here. The point is not whether he is too old for TM or not. The point is whether it is acceptable for the federation to exclude a player on political grounds. Sadly, by not willing to see things as they are, you and many others here acquiesce in the federation's political decision. And please don't say Hajsafi was included, hence no political interference. This is a mickey mouse argument. Hajsafi got included because he publicly sucked up to the regime.
