I was going to post right after the match but my keyboard stopped working!

I think the red card was a blessing in disguise... like I said before the match, the result here was not as important as how this match played and plays into our preparation for the world cup.

And there's always the possibility that someone will get ejected... after the Iraq fiasco, we had something to prove and I think the boys and CQ proved that even faced with that situation, they can all keep it together and not concede a goal.

The tactical substitutions from CQ were brilliant and from the way everyone played, you could barely tell we were playing a man short. And there's of course the extra bonus that we severely damaged the Korean psyche for the future matches!

I mean, if they can't even get a shot on target against a 10 man Iran side in 40 minutes and playing at home in front of 60,000 fans, what would you think your prospects are if you were a S. Korean player before the starting whistle in the next match against TM?

Incredible transformation for TM past short few years. Going from somewhat slow and lethargic to high work rate and faster play (thanks to CQ). Need to also mention TM's discipline & order nowadays- something we lacked badly before.
Most impressed with Milad; I think he can and should transfer to a much better league and team.
      Well done TM and CQ.

Ezzat was playing erratically the whole game and the stomp was the icing on the cake albeit the Korean deserved a red too, he initiated the whole thing and Ezzat who was having a bad day fell in his trap. He is young, he'll learn and move on. Stop saying he needs to be kicked out of TM. That's insane.

I don't get why so many of you are rating Amiri poorly? He is our f*kin Di Maria. He is tireless, always running and making smart plays. In a game like this when we don't really need to score and are playing defensively for most of the game especially after going down a man, how else do you expect an attacking midfielder to play? I think he did fine until he was subbed out for obvious tactical reasons.

And I think enough was said about Milad Mohammadi, what a gem. We lacked somebody this good in his position for years. I am glad we found our man.

Last but not least, Kaveh Rezaie deserves a TM call up. I am a PP fan and I like Taremi but I think Kaveh is probably better than Taremi given the opportunity. I have my doubts in regards to Taremi's soccer IQ. Not saying Kaveh should replace him, it'd be nice to keep them both but since this is now a crowded roster, If i had to pick one to take to Russia, it would be Kaveh.

Mohammadi continues to grow, and impress every game. He has a very bright future ahead

I want to say I want Iran to lead 1-0 to 88 min and lose 2-1 in our game against Syria to teach Koreans and Uzabaks a lesson.

Do you remember Qatar was leading Uzbakestan until 60 min 1-0 and lost 5-1 last worldcup when we were playing SouthKorea? It is time to get even with both UZ and S Korea. If they are not fair with us why should we be fair?

I think we should not ignore one of our biggest deficiencies from this game, our ball distribution moving forward. I think we lack some serious pace in the middle and so we become hesitant to push too far forward into opposition defense. Even aside from that, we need more coordinated attacking movements if we are to get some good looks on their goal. There were moments with 3-4 attackers surrounding one another and not utilizing the space properly and moving without much purpose/intent. I can only assume this can be fixed from extra practice, confidence, and the addition of Ghoddos to our midfield.

Trust me, Syria wouldn't give fukc if Iran's fate was in their hands. We should only play for the pride of our nation.

I wish Syrians all the best as they deserve some happiness, but never in the expense of Team Melli!

I'm sorry, but that's a pretty fucking stupid thing to do... Do you realize how much sweat, blood, and effort we put in too have a clean sheet during our games and too have all that go to goh because we want to "teach Koreans and Uzbeks" a lesson? We are against this behavior as Iranians and we go and do it ourselves...?

among the players, I was really impressed by Ansari. he was playing for TM for the first time and given that we were playing away and a man down, I thought he more than held his own. We need replacements for Sed jalal and Montazeri.

is it me or is Ezzatolahi really overrated? He made a stupid foul in that mess of a game against Syria giving away free kick in a very dangerous spot and Carlos pulled him out soon after that. there is no reason for what he did to the SK player.

Wtf is this whole idea of purposely losing to Syria? Are people serious??

Not only do we have trouble establishing friendly matches but our time towards preparing this team is limited. Every opportunity to play games and train has to be used efficiently. Our World Cup performance will reflect on the coming season's preparation.
