Honestly IMO considering how late Karimi was thrown into the mix I think he's been spectacular.

He is also young but he is:

Cool headed, makes smart passes, does a good job pressing defensively, especially after training with TM.

Ezatollahi does have that little bit of flare but his form has blocked that for the time being.

All teams in WC start with a clean card record. Nothing carries to the finals.

Are you sure? That would be great.

I think what we saw from Saeid today, is the reason why he is being benched at Rostov this year. Watching his games last year with Anzhi, he made similar mistakes and unnecessary fouls which led him to receive a yellow card and 2 yellow cards in games. He needs to be more focus on playing a more straight forward game and stay out of these situations. He is full of potentials but has a long way to go.

young players who experience these difficulties and come through the other side often end up better than those who dont experience these problems. I think TM fame, playing in CL with sardar, went to his head a bit. He was modelling and giving uncles to everybody and their uncle in iran at every break talking about all of his offers and shit . He may very well have been training alone during this time, but still its obvious that he wasnt totally focussed. I think this is what caused him to fall off as well. I sometimes wish our media didnt hype up these young guys for a while to keep them out of fame and stardom. A guy like milad never gives interviews, does his job like a soldier, and we saw how much he has improved and what a play he has become, all while playing in the same russia we constantly talk shit about. Its all about the mentality of the individual. These players all have the talent to be very good in europe.

Suspension for red cards do get carried to WC if committed in the qualifiers. There have been few instances of this already. The question is how many game suspension would he get? Anything more than 1 will eat into his WC games. I think he is good enough fo CQ to carry him for 1 game at the WC but any thing more will see him miss out the WC.

I think people are being too rough on Ezi... he was out of form and needs to be more cool-headed but,

1 - He didn't stomp on the guy's head, only made contact in mid air
2 - How the hell can you guys call that intentional when he has just taken a whack is disoriented and on top of that has his face covered and trying to gain his balance standing on one foot?!

I highly doubt he even knew where the Korean player had fallen relative to where he was. And if he was trying to hurt the guy intentionally, I highly doubt he would have limited it to a mild contact and would have actually stomped on his head.

I thought it was a very harsh red card and I hope he gets back to form and doesn't miss any WC matches.

I rewatched the entire game again tonight. I have to say Saied did not play as bad as we are all making it out to be. He was muscling his weight around in midfield and really involved in breaking korean play. Certainly more than Hajsafi in the 1st half. However he did have a few bad touches and that miss kick in the box. I think he is a key player for our midfield and it would be a great loss if he is suspended for the WC.

Having watched the incident again he absolutely did it intentionally. After the clash he landed on both feet, then he raised one feet and steped back towards the korean and brought it down on him. Now i dont think he knew what part of the player he was going to stomp on, unfortunately it was his head,. To be fair as soon as he felt contact he pulled out but it was too late. The act had been committed & his intent was clear - retaliation. It was inevitable he was going to see the red card. Hopefully not more than one much suspension is imposed on him.

                      I thought the same.
But some people here in this very post made me confused, and eventually I am worried now.
                      Hope you are right.

What?! In your reply to me in the thread about Shekari you hyped him up as "being one of the top players in his age group in Iran" but now you are saying our media hyping these players up is causing issues. You just hyped a player up as one of the best players in Iran. To top that, you mentioned how it hurt Shekari practicing alone in a park for two years, and how it almost made him cry, and how Zob Ahan did him wrong by making him practice alone in a park. But you go and say Ezatollahi "may very well have been training alone during this time".

You are going in circles dude.
