He has to step up, and hopefully he does otherwise I don't see why someone like Torabi shouldn't get more playing time than he's getting now instead of JB.

You see that all on social media how they troll on CQs or AFCs facebook page. You would never see these kind of things from Uzbeks, Koreans or Japanese.

Beiranvand will show his poor handling skills when exposed, not great in 1 on 1, and Haghighi will be poor in his own way on low crosses and coming out of his goal stupidly.
Our weakest position right now is goalkeeper. Whether we change our current number 1 or not

I think a lot of people here are being really dramatic.
I was also very upset that we conceded a late goal however it is important to note that.
these two games were without hosseini or montazeri.
It was obvious from the lineups and subs in both games that CQ was testing certain players in serious games.
IMHO Ansari did not impress. I am aware that he is new, and he deserves more chances, but he isnt even 60% of a jalal hosseini.
Im glad that we have Chesmi added to the mix now, in the event that hosseini is injured, id much rather have cheshmi as a CB, he is much stronger and much better with the ball.
Also, we can now see that when we have an issue in the midfield, the team crumbles.
Hajsafi simply doesnt cut it.
Karimi is only good when he has a guy like Saed playing with him. Karimi pairs really well with him.
We need to bring Ebrahimi with us to WC. The guy is much better than Hajsafi!! Ive watched both of them closely and Omids IQ is way better.
Is he out of form?
I can only pray that Montazeri can be fit by the world cup. It makes me nervous. He was by far one of our best last WC.AKP Parti, Turkiye - Haj Bernie Sandersoglu

The loss to Syria, in my opinion was caused by number of factors;
1. The usual Hurra Hurra of Iranian football to score goals at Azadi and underestimating the opponent. Just how many times do we need to experience similar situations where opportunities are lost one after another and vital points are missed, before we actually learn. I can list at least 10 games in recent history with same disappointing performance at home!
2. Middle of the park was where everything went wrong. Karimi and Hajsafi proved to be a pair with least combined output. The lost battle in the middle was one of the major reasons we performed so poorly. Ashkan tried to carry the load and did good but was all alone. Ezatollahi was truly missed. What this team needs is a young Neko.
3. Experimental defensive line. We lacked experience in the back. If Jalal was in the line up, it would have been a different story altogether.
4. Sardar and Taremi don't connect well together. Many of the efforts are solo.

^ I agree, Torabi showed that he can be an X factor, he proved it against montenegro.
I am also hoping that Ghoddos and Torabi can light a fire under JB's ass or at least push Amiri away from the starting lineup.
I dont get why amiri would start over someone like Torabi.AKP Parti, Turkiye - Haj Bernie Sandersoglu

Japan lost to Saudi. They did not play well. Many parts of the field were wide open for the fast saudi player to run through and shoot. BUT THE JAPANESE are not mad. This was a game or formality.
So calm down and take it easy.
Clean sheet beame household name for every asghar taragheh va naneh ghamar. But it makes no sense to take shots at the poor goalkeeper. Just look at the video of the match and see what the defenders were doing during the rebound that led to the first goal of syria. One thing hopefully everyone learned is that a lot of work needs to be done beause Hoseini, Ezatolai, Montazari can not be asked to play in 3 group stage games and perform the same. They will be tired for the third game. Remember Bosnia in last cup. The current subs for montazari and ezatolayi and hoseini are not good enough and with curent state of the skills we will not go the next round in 2018. Either we have others that have to be identified and developed or CQ needs a lot more friendly matches to teach the players not to do again what they did in syria match. If we use a normalized number (10)to define Hoseini and montazari, then the rookies get 5 or 6. So TM has a long way to go. Just remember Portugal and mexico games in the other up. You cannot go to World up with just 11 Players no matter how great they are.
