yes well said! russia friendly will be a huge opportunity to gain some valuaböe fifa points if we can win it. shame we lost a lot of points vs syria. unreal if iran could end up in pot 2 would be historical chance to finish top 2 in group

No. Imagine if the Pot 4 teams are Burkina Faso, SK,Japan, Saudi, Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Greece.

We can only be grouped with Burkina Faso, Montenegro, Ireland or Greece

No they cannot in case an asian team would be drawn to irans group from pot 4 they would automatically go in the next non asian group. It follows pretty much the logic for champions league draws. There you cant have teams from same countries in one group yet they are not necessarily placed in one pot but the pots are determined by uefa ranking. This will now happen at the world cup as well.

However, the rule is that teams from the same confederation cannot be drawn in the same group, with the exception of UEFA. That means the only opponents we can get from Pot 4 are African teams.
