This guy is about to throw his career away. What a stupid thing to do to not report for preseason when you don't have real offers yet. Really disappointed in him.
The guy has all the qualities to make it at the top, he’s a box to box player with great work rate that managers love. Luckily time is on his side , he needs to make sure that he is on it to get back into the team and in great shape for January.
Also I wish he would have in hindsight taken that contract offer at Madrid B, made a name for himself there. He could have got minutes playing for the main team, even if it was in cup games and he really would have had some attention.
Celtic has 2 more days for transfer and needs defensive players, they have had a very bad transfer window.
Would be good for his confidence playing for them (pretty much guaranteed champions, plus play in a physical league, rodgers is a good coach), plus a good launch pad for the english league.

I've hyped him up to them on twitter.
Pff, I personally wouldn't want him playing in Scotland. He is far too good to play here.
At this point:
Playing in Iran/Scotland/Qatar/China > Not even being registered for the Russian season

Here's my semi- serious crackpot theory because I watched exactly one TIFO video on football corruption:
Ezzi and Azmoun's initial moves were facilitated by some Dallals who take a big cut out of these guy's salary. These dallals can only make money if these guys are passed around the Russian league where they have the connections to make these shady contracts. If Sardar signs with Lyon for example, that would mean no more money for these dallals. So maybe Ezzi decided to stand up to one of these dallals, and the dallal has blacklisted him for the season to teach him a lesson.
Either that or he/his club really have enough offers to try wait until the final day of transfer window to make decision.

Interesting theory - it is indeed weird how quiet news around him have been all we have heard is stand liege interest. you would think that after a very, very solid performance (to say the least) against some of the strongest teams in the world would AT LEAST generate interest from mid table Russian clubs and even mid table teams in better leagues of course and yet we hear nothing.
another issue these players have is their agents are their fathers. no disrespect to them but thats just ridiculous and part of the problem here IMO Iranian culture at its finest.

Ya except Wanyama was never complacent with one team or league with the exception of EPL. He went from Sweden to Belgium, Scotland, and then England where he as you pointed out left Southampton for Tottenham.
