if this guy is in fact correct about the prices, then 1.3 mil EU for a 21 year old defensive midfielder, who:

was trained in the famous Atletico Madrid academy, participated in youth champions league, has already experienced a u17 and Senior WC, in both of which where he was one of the best players for his team, played in senior champions league and Europa League matches where again he shone against the highest level players, played on a team that nearly won the russian league, involved in 2 high stakes relegation battles where his teams survived, and improved his game year after year

is a ridiculously low price in this market. I think that anywhere up to 5 mil EU is reasonable for somebody of his talent, or at the very least 3 million. So 1.3 is really just like giving him up for free.

^ I completely agree. I guess sometimes the clubs have to also manage their budget. Who knows, maybe they thought they can just snatch Saeid with that price and Rostov would accept.

Anderlecht are on the verge of selling their defensive mid to Wolves. Maybe they will be in the market for Saeid too

after he ran the show and outplayed that very player Dendoncker in the middle of the park that night in Rostov, scoring a goal and hitting the bar in the process, they would be following common sense if they were interested in him lol.

tb to that very performance. This was an excellent example of what saeid can do when given a bit more license to roam forward. In the past 2 seasons, he has really developed the defensive side of his game, which is great. Before he was sort of sketchy in his defensive duties beyond just physical challenges, and often got caught out of position, and just generally wasnt as aware of dangerous situations. In anzhi and then especially Amkar, he really got good at this job, and it proved on the world stage with TM. I watched him quite a bit last season and his positioning and overall play vs spain was very similar to many RPL games that I saw of him vs the top teams like Spartak Moscow away, 1-1 draw, for example. He improved his passing completion as well and in the WC showed that too ( I think hes always had this ability, just needed regular PT to hone it).

A transfer to a better team, either in russia or in belgium, would really be interesting for a player of saeid's current qualities. His defensive side is very strong, physically very strong, and has technical talent to be a threat offensively, like he showed vs Anderlecht. But in a better team where he is in a midfield that dominates ball possession, we can see him grow even more in the area of playmaking. This would really make a perfect midfielder, and IF he become completely well rounded in 2-3 years time, when he 23-24, then we can really expect him to move a top team after the WC2022.

But again, this wouldnt be achieved by staying in another RPL relegation level team like rostov, where he has already proven that he is too good for, see amkar last year.

I wonder if Rubin Kazan are interested in him? Hmm... 🤔

I just don't get such clubs as Rostov. They don't even include him in their squad, what can you do worse than that to weaken the own position on negotiations and to lower the price.

It'd be awesome if he moves to brugge. As a standard fan, I would love to have him in the team but we already have agbo who is a beast in this position. However if he joins standard, he will work with one of the best Belgian coach ever in Michel Preud'homme

Maybe the club management just don't rate him highly. He has played more games on Loan at other clubs than he has for Rostov since he joined in 2015.

Very possible, but looking at their D-mids at this time I don't see how SE is not the better option. Even as a player who was loaned out he has done better than Guliyev, Troshechkin and company. May be Karpin likes to play with 2 center mids and SE is not his cup of tea. Having said this, Karpin is a weird bird and more of a gypsy manager, so you never know what if anything is going through his head.

He was in Iran and has just joined the club (Thursday).

I am sure he will soon start to feature in the first team if he is not sold.

Yeah maybe Rostov also believes Ezatolahi is just a slightly faster version of Maziar Zare

I saw a couple of Iranian sources linking him R.S.C. Anderlecht on Insta.
