Beiranvand or Haghighi for Number 1 in WC 2018

I think at this point it’s obvious he is by far our most in form keeper. He’s put together tons of outstanding saves this season and like u said, he has the brains too. That’s HUGE for the GK spot....no keeper won’t be successful if they can’t read what’s coming their way and that’s something Hosseini does really well, let alone his amazing reflexes and his confidence back there.

^ I agree, but remember Beiranvand is also working harder nowadays and performs better but the reality is that Hosseini has much more confidence and would be a wiser choice now because of his recent performance.

And because he is good with penalties and we have a lot of chances of giving away many because of the nature of the teams we are playing in this world cup. But to be safe, I would say at this point, we need to keep them both. And Haghighi, I'm not sure at all about him.

I agree with the experience thing, but Haghighi is not only an awful goalie, he hasn't played a game in a long time.

I would like to give a few more reps to Mazaheri though in the upcoming friendlies (especially a challenging one) to see if he also has weaknesses that i havent been privy to prior..?

Let’s be very honest, anyone with knowledge of football knows that Beiranvand has no business in the World Cup, neither does Haghighi. They both lack the fundamentals of goalkeeping and will be a liability in Russia.

Again and again they have been exposed with their weaknesses and sooti’s. I shit my pants whenever Beiranvand is in goal. Haghighi can’t handle low shots when his life depends on it.

My hope is put on Mazaheri and Hosseini to decide who’s going to take that number 1 spot. I trust them more than the first two mentioned.

honestly, if it were up to me, i would risk not taking along a 3rd keeper and instead opt for an added depth in MF/D..!

I believe every team must have 3 GK’s according to the FIFA tournament rules.

Mazaheri makes some really bad decisions on his exits and also tends to give up way too many easy rebounds. I'll be honest, I've only seen him play like 10 games this season, but I'm not confident in his abilities at all beyond penalty stopping.
