I agree with you. He played on the worst club in Sweden and he still managed a few phenomenal performances. I remember a couple of games where he carried his team single handedly.

I was hopeful of pretty decent gk career from ARH but he is the architect of his own recent demise.
After a semi decent WC display, this guy gets into a dumb pissfight with his club coaches hence getting disposed of..! Then foolishly goes MIA from pro football all together for like 2 years & suddenly decides he wants to make swift come back, finding out there not many decent sides out there especially in EU interested in a long time laid off, one-time-wonder with history of disciplinary problems ..!
Finally eats his pride & signs with some tokhmy Swedish team after it becomes evident he will not find any better suitors & at least slightly resurrects his fast dying career with a sporadic good performances..! & some of u guys expect CQ to dump his go to gkeeping crew of past 3 years to make room for him Again shortly before WC ...! ??
Barring major flops by the current regulars & emergency injury situation , Not happening this time around for ARH ..! Its doubtful he can even make the traveling squad to Russia & near impossible to get minutes even if ..!?
Can’t say I feel sorry for him either nor do I think he is the solution to our currently suspect WC gk position.

Come on go back and watch Haghighi during asian cup, he is useless coming for crosses and wont go off his line. Thats how we conceded most of our goals, including the crucial ones vs Iraq

According to this Russian source, they predict that Iran will be one of the largest fan groups to visit Kazan in WC2018:

What are you talking about? How is Beiranvand garbage? Please explain to me how he’s garbage. Every goalkeeper makes mistakes and have their number of blunders. But instead of focusing on the positives we always have to nit pick the negatives right?

Alireza Beiranvand is the true story of “from rags to riches”. This guy literally was living through some of the worst conditions of his life before Naft Tehran. If you I think a player who used to live in the dumps is garbage then that’s the only reason I would assume you think he’s trash.

I’m not a fan boy of Beiranvand I’m just trying to point a few things out. Beiranvand is probably the most confident goalkeeper we have today. Goalkeeper exits have proven to be one of the BIGGEST flaws when it comes to conceding goals in our national team. 90% of the time (counting the 10% where Beiranvand has been shaky, and yes I’m aware because I watch the games) he’s proven to be enough for Iran to get the needed results.

Not to mention he is heckled and made fun of by his own fans because he wants to go to Teraktor to FINISH his sarbazi. Why does he want to finish his sarbazi you may ask? Because he WANTS to go to EUROPE so he can PROGRESS and become BETTER so he isn’t viewed as garbage by fans. But unfortunately brain dead Persepolis fans will start rumors and talk badly about anyone as long as they get what they want. And then the same fans come cheer Azmoun not knowing that a player like Beiranvand wants to pursue the same goals.....

if he went to europe he would really kill it and imo would put himself in TM starting picture. I would love to see him in TM but the question is for who ? Currently I have him rated ahead of gucci. If god forbid anything happens to any of our other forwards, he should be the one to get in the squad instead. He needs to be called up for some friendlies, especially the domestic players vs Uzbek match
