Totally agree with you on this! Dutchies have a nasty way of being selective racists and if you day something about it, they all play confused and worngly accused.

This from a Irani that lives their for almost 30 years!

Verbeek is a tough man with principles. Like I had said in another thread, he doesn't want to come across as a hypocrite since they have constantly been criticizing Van Marwijk in this football show "Voetbal Inside" for chasing money by coaching the Saudi's.

I'm pretty sure Verbeek wouldn't have accepted any Saudi job either, no matter how high the offer would be. Most other coaches would have probably, but not this guy.

And one more thing: yes, there are a lot of racists in the Netherlands, but this guy is not one of them. He is a decent coach and like I said, a man of principles who always speaks his mind.

        Man of principles…
I do understand and can sympathize with any coach refuse to work in Iran if he has cultural issues perceived security concerns, restrictions for his family, but making a political statement regarding capital punishment is a different issue unless he thinks it may apply to him.
It’s admirable to make a humanitarian statement against Capital punishment if it’s genuine and not in isolation.
May he has done but I have yet to read any other political statement criticizing his own country crimes in Syria. US criminal coalition in Syria and Iraq is about the Balkanization and redrawing new ME map for security of israel and above all Oil and Gas. US coalition criminal policies for dividing countries will reach Iran too in the future, which will result in death and destruction beyond what we have seen.
Hegemon’s regime changes in the last 10 years results in millions death and millions refugees and more to come. Only one day civilian death resulting from USA in Iraq/Syria & Yemen (Saudi/UAE) is more than total capital punishment in a year where he is concerned. Does he refuse to work in those countries as well?
I will respect his view if when he had the opportunity make similar decisions for bigger wrongs, but for now he is another MOFU making a political statement in expense of Iran.

What i almost had forgotten about GertJan Verbeek ; in the early days of Agil Etemadi his career, he could join TM and GertJan Verbeek forbid him to do so. He told him that he would jeapordize his career if he insisted to go.

So somewhere down their, GertJan (just like A LOT OF DUTCHIES) doesn't like Iran....
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
