We will miss his creativity and role modeling on and off the field. He was one of our best players the last World Cup.

Let's be honest, Masoud has been crappy for NT for about 2 years now. He is slow and lose ball very often. He is technical which helps him to have a good performance in Greek league but it is not good enough for WC. I wanted to phase him out for a long time. I support his action about playing against Israeli team and his stands against corruption but he needs to say good bye to NT.

Amazed that Imani and Abdollahzadeh made the team, even the fact that Kanaani made it over Ansari.

Not too fan of the list especially the backups, but we'll see what they can do in the 2 friendlies I guess. At least Kaveh made it as expected

Very concerning that there is no shojaei!!!

But the good thing to see is he is really looking to give some of these youngsters and the deserving kaveh rezaie a shot against a semi decent and a good opposition. I like this a lot from CQ, hopefully kaveh scores some goals to give CQ something to think about going forward

I agree shojaei probably should make the squad but he definitely shouldnt start. His style is too slow, their is no two ways about that, and he doesnt contribute that much on d.

Dejagah is much more suited to the CAM role for TM than masoud is . Besides that a great list with some young, new faces.

Masoud is a professional who is match fit and experienced within the CQ system. Allowing others to take his place gives others the much needed experience. As far as Ashkan goes, it is obvious that CQ is inviting him to keep jim fit. Just like Masoud he is experienced veteran that knows the system however Ashkan is no longer Physically fit for matches on a weekly base. It is obvious that Ashkan is just trying to stay healthy to give the WC one last push and then hang up the boots.

Shojaei out again is amazing, while he keeps clubless Dejagah.

clubless dejagah is still our best player, because he has the basics of football learned in a football country. also he keeps fit. I think he will play World Cup and fish career after this. I think he communicated this.

In case of Ansari it was more or less expected after his performance against Syria. I am not convinced about Kananizadegan and saw very little of Akbari and Abollahzadeh, so can't comment on that!
Masoud exclusion is of course 100% political, va vaghean ham tablo hast! You invite Hajsafi from the same club, you invite Dejagah who is without club and you exclude Masoud LOL!

It's obvious Shojaei's omission is political, which makes me that much more disappointed in Queiroz for making excuses for IR and our fellow Iranians who like to turn a blind eye.

I can see Iranian nepotism (partybazi) has affected him too by picking favorites with Dejagah.

Was hoping to see Tafazolli and Beitashour rooming together and being tested in friendlies, especially since Beitashour is playing well with players like Giovinco, Altidore and Bradley.

Nice to see Ghoddos and Rezaei though.

I'm pretty certain that our World Cup strikers will be: Ghoochannejhad, Sardar, Rezaei and Taremi.

Last time we went to the World Cup, CQ only brought two pure strikers with him, Gucci and Ansarifard.

It is vital that Torabi and Ghoddos play the full match. Saman needs to be tested as a winger, and as a CAM. And Torabi needs some time to show himself, Jahanbakhsh has been struggling, and Taremi and Ansarifard play a much different style on the wing, and I find Amiri to be a very average player who just has stamina, therefore the key people being tested is Ghoddos, Torabi, and Mazaheri, and also Ebrahimi to see how does as the sole CDM (something that neither Ezatolahi or Hajsafi can do).
