Guys you are wrong.

We have to play teams which qualified for World Cup. I think playing Portugal can benefit us, as we may be grouped with them or with Spain, or with Brazil, or even two of them. so Portugal friendly at home in azadi should be perfect.

And to ADD: We should JUST PLAY COUNTRIES WHICH QUALIFIED FOR THE WORLD CUP! Why? Because, these players and staff have the aim to reach something and players are motivated to make the World Cup squad or starting 11. all these players will play the matches as a competitive match! We should mostly play the teams in our Pot. But also playing Costa Rica or even Panama benefit us, because there is 25% we get Panama or Honduras from pot 4, and even a good test for Costa Rica itself or Mexico match.
The perfect friendlies in November are:

1. Costa Rica or Panama and if possible 2. Portugal

3. All other teams which are in our POT 3 are also good.

Germany play France and Brazil from Pot 1, and they just want to play the strongest teams, because to prepare for World Cup defending. They do not say, no no no just not play stronger teams from World Cup, THEY DO NOT FEAR TO GET GROUPED EACH OTHER OR MEETING LATER. We should think also this way.

Costa Rica or Iceland are exactly the type of friendly we need. Whether we advance to the round of 16 will depend on what results we get against the 'second tier' countries in our group, the Costa Ricas and Icelands of the WC.

Qualified teams have not scheduled their best friendlies until grouos come out.
That being said, As a Pot 3 team we should at least reach out to every other country in Pot 3. Theres no risk for either side and the benefit is a game against a solid team.

We should also look for comparative team friendlies in Pot 4. We know we may get Serbia/Morocco/Nigeria/Panama.
Lets talk friendlies versus
Bosnia/Slovenia/Algeria/Jamaica.

Any of the teams in the UEFA playoff that fail to qualify. Im sure Ireland/N. Ireland will ignore us but if Denmark/Greece/Sweden give us a go its great.

We should also spam Bolivia/Venezuela/Paraguay/Ecuador. A game vs any of these will be crucial to prep for Uruguay/Colombia/Peru
