yes they are bunch of Goshads but first we had to wait till this month to find out which teams directly made the WC and which ones have to go thru playoffs
Still you could make arrangements under conditions. That is absolutely a normal thing so teams can plan. The only team not being able to plan 2 friendlies despite being qualified since June is Iran. It's just really really sad.
We really really need to learn from the mistakes we made 4 years ago.
We have to organize friendlies where we'll go BEHIND, and have to come back. In Asia, it doesn't happen to us, but in WC it'll almost certainly happen.
Our so called "Wall of China" defense is imperious in Asia, but looked nowhere near as solid against a frankly second rate European team in Russia.
I know CQ doesn't exactly have a good relationship with Portuguese FA or Ronaldo....but it's so frustrating that the soosmars get to play them, and we'll probably end up with Mozambique (And we'll be told their style is similar to Portugals).
Anyways, if a friendly is going to be scheduled at all, we'll know by the end of the week.
But at least, I've learnt my lesson and definitely won't be getting my hopes up at all even if we end up in a WC group with Russia, Peru, & Panama (easiest on paper).
Japan has probably one of the most reputable and well-connected FA's in the world. That's how they consistently set up high quality fixtures. The Saudi's have neither, but they have a seemingly endless supply of cash they can just throw at whatever team they wish. IFF? We lack connections, cash, ease of travel. Our team has made headlines as potentially the top team in Asia, but I'm sure that any quality side would prefer a central/south american/african/european opponent for friendlies and not have to deal with the hassle of working through IFF. Still, i just hope we aren't deeply disappointed in our preparations..
Argentina has Kun Aguero, we have Kun Goshad's
It bet on Iran/Iraq and Iran/Palestine announcement soon.
Iraq is 80th in the world right now, I wouldn't mind a friendly against them. Pumping a few goals in them would be nice and it would be a good test (better than Togo who's 113th...)
Edit: Holy shit Palestine is 84th now... actually at this point either of these countries is an upgrade from Togo. These wouldn't be bad friendlies.
