What happened to Former TM players

Use this thread to discuss players that were once TM players - and now are kind of off the radar ...

First player, the infamous Mehrdad Pooladi who was outstanding for us in the World Cup and finally brought class and pedigree at the elusive TM left-back position but mentally lost it as he was declared to have forged his military exemption card, which is a punishable jailable offense in Iran.

He now plays in the Thai league.

Mehrdad is now swimming in Arab money that he accepted in exchange for his unacceptable performance against Iraq.

Who cares about Pouladi when we had Milad Mohammadi. It's like Querioz clicked the upgrade button and Milad popped out.

I always wonder what could have happened if the meteoric rise of Khaziravi had been matched by the right people around him to give him advice.

He was explosive and at 20 who knows what could have happened, were it not for...

          Mehrzad Madanchi

He was a tenacious left winger who backed up Nikbahkt-Vahedi. He made our 2006 World Cup team and had 63 caps - many really liked his direct and never-say-die game. He also had a real good knack for scoring. Unfortunately, he fell off the radar (as far as Team Melli) after 2007 Asian Cup.

Pooladi's last game for the Thai club was two months ago. He's either injured or he already left them.

Whatever happened to Ashkans older brother Ardeshir Dejagah. He was suppose to be a legionnaire striker for Iran but then just started to get over shadowed by Ashkan and his career just seemed to go away.

                Arashi Washi.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Whenever someone talks about wasted TM talent Khaziravi is the first thing coming to my mind. He was a gem in arguably one of the best and most entertaining TMs in history. He had a Barcelona offer from what I had read on papers back then.

That is true, Milad is a machine. A clear upgrade from Pouladi.

The younger generation don't remember him but Javad Manafi, our LB during 1994 WCQ was an amazing player, he could have a long career: Great speed, passing ability, solid defending, sadly he had a terrible car accident which forced him to retire at the age of 24 only, he was Daei's assistant for while in PP few years a go.

He is no 9 in the picture below, the picture is from 1993 i believe:

                      and his recent picture:

He had a brief stint in the Australian leagues, and also featured equal-sixth in PFDC's best iranians not to play for the national team, alongside such luminaries as Sharu Naraji:

Japanese star CM Aria Jasuru Hasegawa came very close to TM and was called by CQ but I don't know what went wrong that he was never in any TM camp. He was at Japanese NT camp at once and later ended up in Spanish second division and went off the radar. Kiarash was in love with this dude!

Edmund Bezik is a coach on Kia FC - so he is still involved in Iranian football, at the grassroots level. He is also a very close friend of Mehdi Mahdavikia.
