Hasegawa actually moved to real zaragoza for a sizable fee of almost 1 Million Euros. Then he went on to make around 10 appearances in league and cup before leaving back to japan in january . I think he had some homesickness/injury issues or something if I remember correctly. He still plays in the first division.

Reza Haghighi played for Team Melli at the 2014 World Cup, after many years of solid performance in Payam Mashhad and Shiraz clubs, he was at his peak in Persepolis, then he surprisingly left Persepolis! He signed contract with a Thai club which was short-lived then went back home to Mashhad and did not last long at Padide also, I think he is currently clubless. In his interviews he acknowledged that leaving Persepolis was a huge mistake.

And apparently (Iranian sources) was a target for Hertha Berlin prior to the 2014 WC...

What happened to? Former TM players

Aria had issues with his passport. He would have had to give up his Japanese passport since dual citizenship is banned here. You can get away with it if you're a normal citizen but football players are under the spotlight and there's just no way around the law. He lives in Japan, grew up here, so it wouldn't have been worth giving citizenship up anyways.
In any case, I don't think we missed out much because while he is a decent player, we have better options. He didn't have the best stint at Zaragoza, and he's never been called up to Japan despite choosing not to play for Iran. Plus, he doesn't speak Persian whatsoever which would have been a problem (he most likely knows lesser than even Saman Ghoddos).

Hassan Roudbarian lives in Atlanta in the US now. He played on my thursday night 7v7 league team for a while, but would play on the field and not in goal [emoji23].

How do these guys get into the US so easily?
I heard Aghili has a home in Irvine, CA and Arash Borhani was in the US too about 2 months ago, probably scouting the areas for living purposes

Speaking of former "talents" - Behshad Yavarzadeh - a former U23 player, was in Toronto last week or so.

How do they make a living? I don't imagine there is alot of opportunity for retired Iranian football players in the USA. These guys are too young still to be truly retired.

He was called to couple of JNT camps and was on bench for a friendly.
