    @ ozone.

we have. Players slapping each other and fighting and a lot of other BS has stopped. We understand and act world class, no Iranian coach has had that understanding and its importance. Our players are able to demonstrate good football and civilized behavior representing 80 millions.
Professionalism is not in question. No doubt that exists with CQ although in the past he has had some questionable interactions and made threats to quit but he can't be faulted for that completely.

But let's be real...when all is said and done the only record we have with him is our no goals against streak. We didn't win AC, we didn't even win a match in the WC yet...he only managed to tie Branco's WC record. I mean we had players in first leagues in Spain and Germany with other coaches...we don't even have that with CQ. End of the day results matter...what his legacy will be is yet to be determined but he still has time to write his history and perhaps one day be crowned a king.

2006, we qualified second in a ridiculously easy group. We qualified over Bahrain and North Korea. Our best player was still an old Ali Daei.
As far as having legionaries, we would have like 3 or 4 max. Right now we have over a dozen players in Europe. Even our backups are going to Europe. European teams are starting to take notice and actively scouting our youth.
I never used the word god, as an atheist I don't really use that word, my point is that CQ has improved our football to a point not seen before.
I know what you meant about CQ being Iranian! I just meant we all have a negative view of Iranian coaches in general. So if he was Iranian, he'd been dead in all out hearts already in year 1.

Our best player in 2006 was Ali Daei??!!! Dude.... were you even old enough to watch that WC?! Ali Daei was the player everybody wanted out. In 2006 we may have had 5 or 6 European legioners, yes. But as mentioned, at one point we did have 14-15 players in Europe's best leagues (after the WC98). German, Belgian, Italian leagues had respect for our players, bringing them over one by one.

Now don't get me wrong, CQ has been great for our football. but the arguments you mention, we had them in the past without him too. Those are not what he achieved.

and I don't know how old you are...probably you're very young so you don't know. But at one point after the WC98, we had 14-15 players in Europe, not playing in the Russian or the Greek leagues, but playing in Germany, Italy, Belgium, etc.
Again..... read my 2 last paragraphs in my previous reply with care. CQ is a good coach. But please do not get jav-gir.
Sigh. You are an idiot. I see explaining things is of no use. If you want to start making it personal, I am not going to respond to you anymore.

Daei had 9 goals in those WCQ. No one else had more than 3 or 4. Hashemian was pretty much garbage for TM.

I have been on the forums since the Zal days in 1997. Fuck off with your ageism bullshit.

Be careful how you use your words! Specially at someone who might be much older than you. Otherwise your posts will be reported to the moderators. If you can't discuss in a proper and polite manner, you should stop doing that all together!

HAHA. I love when people do this. Go read our conversation. I never once made it personal until you started down that path with veiled bullshit about peoples age and background. Just because I take a more direct method in response does not make it any different. Just makes you a hypocrite. Like I said, I will just stop responding to your garbage. I have not read a thoughtful post from you in all my time here anyway.

                Quieroz has done way more.

                1) Easiest qualification in our history. Our only time we qualify 2x in a row.

                2) To even think Azmoun, Ezzatollahi, Mohammadi, Jahanbakhsh, etc would be in Europe at this point in time is naive. He flat out said if you want to be on this list going to Europe helps. Now we have guys like Rezaei/Ansarifard/Rezaian playing in Europe. Because of this we have doors open in Belgium, Greece, Russia. Aome may already be in Europe withour the push but he made it a point.

                3) Tactical awareness. Our team is organized and can react to a situation. 0-0 in Seoul with 10 men for 30 min? Impossible with a different coach. Never in our history has a coach dealt with Arab antics as well as CQ.

4)Line-ups. Gone are the days when Branko/Ghalenoei play their same XI every game no matter the opponent. CQ made some really questionable choices in lineup against Uzbekistan and Qatar away and they both paid off. His set up against Argentina was amazing.

                5) His integration of young guys is so smooth by next summer we will have a crop of players already in TM like Cheshmi/Ghoddos/Rezaei/Torabi/Aghaei etc to add onto our already strong youth. I think whoever the coach is 2019-2022 will not have a hard job at all.

That may be true, but the difference is that one of them has built the foundation of a great new Iranian national team whereas the other, through spinelessness and inflexibility, hampered the national team for a decade afterwards.

damn this is funny.. way older.. then i must say i do expect you to read my comment on your post before writing that i copied your post.. jesus do people ever read the answers that come after? please go read it again.. i wrote down the things you said and wrote an response after that. and if you answer next time pls answer on my whole post and dont pick the ones you think you were right and be silent on the ones i am right.

i might have been a little boy when you say we once had 14,15 legionnaires.. but what did they all accomplish seriously? just some personal records and more embaresment for our nation ( fighting players at the world cup ) and just a 2-1 win over USA haha damn.. if those are accomplishments then we should erase our football history..

this team under the guidance of Queiroz the great has brought happiness to the football fans. hasn't lost a single match in 3 years.. has owned chili tied in russia against russia.. and many more.. those ones you are saying that were accomplishing things before got knocked out by south korea and brought tears into our peoples eyes..

this TM is bringing joy! and guess what.. king Queiroz is at the helm of it! with the things he has done not only football wise he should be named like this.. hell even if they announce him king of iran despite being portugese i'd take him over IR anyday haha

Nobody in this country had enough balls to tell rahmati where to go when he started his bache nane bazi but .ca showed 80 million people that nobody or not a thing can get in the way of the team

We have proven at Futsal and Youth Football. However we need to work on U23 team. Our senior side is doing well and can reach there, although there are many countries in Asia who envy us in particular likes of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Bahrain and Australia who always celebrate when our team goes out of a tournament or if our team fails to win a game. At World Cups referees tend to side with the opponent team and we have witnessed unfair decisions towards us. The most notable ones were Serbian refree favouring Argentina at the 2014 World Cup and Aussie referee helping Iraq at the 2015 Asia Cup.

The only reason is because I'm very direct and write up my mind in contrary to most people who try to be politically correct or jump on the band wagon all the times. In my view right should be right and wrong should be wrong, period! I speak up my mind and I stand for what I say.

But what silly stuff did I ever write? You can bring up what ever it is that you don't agree with and we can discuss it.

To this date, everything I've written has turned out to be true. I was the first person criticizing Azmoun for getting out of form. Many people here jumped on me for it in the beginning. Look where we are now. Here you try to tell a few young guys about facts of history and about what's happened in the past in our football which they may not know about. Yet instead of saying thank you, they jump on you and give you joftak. Of course I'm not even gonna mention the personal insults which I will report to the moderators if repeated.

The main point is, the day we learn how to tolerate each others' views, is the day we have taken steps towards the right direction. This is the very reason behind many problems in Iran. From football to economy and politics.
