For those who are complaining about Ali Alipour not making the list. I believe I said this before in a different thread.

Carlos Queiroz is fully aware of Ali Alipour and how he's on fire these days. He is ALSO aware that Persepolis has 2 forwards in Mensha and Alipour. If you ask me, he is compromising with Persepolis and is considering their situation.

        1. As far as I know only people whose father or both parents are Iranian can claim Iranian citizenship, but he has Indian father which means no Iranian passport.
        2. Indians are not famous in football in any level so if he can do anything positive it should be on Indian NT level. He can be a legend for a billion people instead being nothing special for Iranians
        3. Many Iranian players in IPL are already above this at best an average player. When we already have better players we don't need to bring dorageh players. At least if we were weak in a position and we had no replacement then I would say it is good to search for half Iranian out there maybe in a better league than IPL.
        4. I consider it an insult to even talk about naturalizing any foreign player for Iranian NT even if the person is from Brazil.
        5. The guy is not even close to TM level so yes. Absolutely not.

Please stop lame suggestions. Thank you.
as ususal you missed the point. You are making it seem like this guy isnt iranian when he is . Somebody who was born , grew up in, got trained in, and completed sarbazi in Iran is just as iranian if not more than you and I . Calling him up would not be naturalising him.

PFDC Coaches would have a vastly different TM every few months... always wanting to ride the player on a hot streak for a few weeks rather than working with the long term consistent performers.

Alipour isn't the first hot hand that TM Fans have wanted to be invited to TM, only to forget about him some months later.

Honestly hate people who talk like PersianLegion; you have nations like England, France, Germany and other civilised countries doing this and reaping the rewards and then we're stuck with dahats who think "oh, this person no is Persian blood. Don't come to TM". Wtf does Persian or w/e blood even mean? All living life forms originated from a single cell (arguably Ethiopia) so technically everyone in the world should be playing for Ethiopia. Honestly piss off with this bs ideology, if a person has grown up in a country for most (or his whole) life he should be welcomed not shooed off. England's youth teams won 4 trophies in 2017 and most of their players are black, Germany's all-time top goal scorer is of Polish ancestry, and etc.
Virtually nobody in the world even brings up these concerns, who cares?

You don't know anything about Iranian nationality law, do you? Iran is not Iraq, we are proud nation and have firm laws. According to latest Iranian nationality law he is a permanent resident not a full citizen. Now you can hate yourself!

                Zahremar. Kerm dari toam,

Yeah and how much have we achieved so far? Sanction after sanction? Bring in the awful IR with a deluded revolution? Iran's football system is being crippled by backward people who won't let this nation achieve its potential. Meanwhile non-proud nations like England, Germany, France, etc. have thriving football nations in a symbiotic system where both the country and the player benefit. There's no such thing as "Iranian" or "Indian" blood. Antigens determine blood type not nationality.

Mohammadi, Zakipour and mahini as spare - we are set at left defense for the world cup.

The goalkeeper Hosseini, is he from esteghlal or sepidroud?

I would have loved to see Ghoddos, though I'm aware that he convinced last time around, and cq saw enough.
for the 10000000th time this isnt the final squad. It is a preliminary domestic squad list. The final list is going to be announced sunday and will include the legionairres.

Guys, if a German read this forum, they will say, Iranians dige chian. cheghadr hitlerian. Was Hitler Iranian with his sibil???

                        I mean everybody relax:

According to you guys, he has Indian father and Iranian mother. In a world where we want to reach the aim of men = women in term of rights and respect and tolerance, as shame dige bahid bayasti bashe in harfa. You are Iranian and you all know that men is not woman in term of rights and everything else in Iran.

We do not know, where his father lived, probably even he lived many years in Iran, and if Omid Singh has an Iranian mother, and spent all his life in Iran, I think this is more than enough to be eligible to play for Iran, otherwise you are disrespectful to his mother (!) and to your own national sister (!). Think about this.

So Ferydoon Zandi, which lived in Germany all his years, and has a Iranian father and German mother, was more eligable to play for Iran, compared to somebody like Omid Singh? Yekam baba fear bekonid.....

All in all, back to football terms, I think a guy which control the Middlefield of his team, and is first place, and scored 3 goals without penalties in 3 different matches, and is right now probably one of the best 5 middle fielders in Iran, can or should be considered. I did not say play him fix, but invite him, test him, let´s see if this younger (!) middlefielder can help Iran.

Did I hurt your Indian pride when I said Indians are not known for football? (I know you live in India so this is hard for you to digest).

This is guy is considered non Iranian by Iranian nationality laws. It doesn't matter if he was born or raised in Iran. Iranian nationality law mandates whoever has Iranian mother and non Iranian father will be a permanent resident and not a citizen. It was passed in 2012 and before that children born with a non-Iranian father could not even obtain a permanent resident status.

Now it seems you are the retard my friend. At least give yourself and us a favor and read the law passage before attacking other members for stating the truth.

                          Moving on:
This guy quality is noting near Iranian NT, so why do you get upset? All dual citizens who had or have played for Iranian national team had or have Iranian parents or Iranian father. The only exception was a Polish refugee from WWII who played for Iranian national team in 40s and he was given Iranian nationality back then.
Fereydoon Zandi (Iranian father, German mother)
                          Ashkan Dejagah (Iranian parents)
                          Reza Gucci (Iranian parents)
                          Steven Beitashour (Iranian parents)
Daniel Davari (Iranian father, German mother)

Show me one Iranian dual citizen with only an Iranian mother who played for Iranian national team ever!

With all due respect, it is our current nationality law and not my sympathy or yours as our law. Read my comment to Indian/Iranian member above yours and you get your answer.

Another two points are. 1. This guy even not even close to SS, PP, or SEP bench warming quality and some people are suggesting him for NT! Now that you are busy call my grandma for NT too! 2. We didn't even let Brazilian-Iranian players like Edinho to join our national team when we were desperate and he was our league highest goal scorer! What is the deal now for an Indian guy who has played his most of career in 2nd division?! I hope you see the difference.

Sorry for shattering dreams of millions of Indian football players with Iranian mothers!

This is the only law that is close to his case but there are many Iranian-Afghani people in Iran whose father is afghani and they have no citizenship. This shows that people who has no Iranian father can not get Iranian citizenship so easy. They can have Iranian residency.

                            https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/ori...tionality.html

Persons born in Iran of a father of foreign nationality who have resided at least one more year in Iran immediately after reaching the full age of 18; in other cases their naturalization as Iranian subjects will be subject to the stipulations for Iranian naturalization laid down by the law. New legislation passed by the Iranian Parliament in 2012 grants permanent residency to children born to Iranian mothers and foreign fathers.
