"For the appointment, the "Bolillo" Gomez has had to make numerous changes, since nine of those initially called fell from the list due to injuries at the last minute or by requests from different clubs.
To face Iran, Gómez, who has already announced the starting line-up, will bet on an unprecedented team, a mix of youth and players with international experience such as goalkeeper José Calderón ; defenses Roberto Chen and Éric Davis; the midfielder Armando Cooper and forward Gabriel Torres.
" We will have the opportunity to see a very young team that is fighting for the post , " the "Bolillo" Gómez, who will face his third World Cup as technical director , told the Panamanian channel RPC ."

CQ is the best mentor any team would want as a manager. He knows how to Charge his troops. Above all by saying that “We don’t have any game by the name of Friendly, we are all fighting for the country Iran and showcasing our powers” he truly shows he is more Iranian than those that have employed him and in particular those that either shamelessly and non-constructively criticise him or back-stab him with every chance.sigpic

Panama has already released their starting lineup for the match:
"The 11 of Panama to face Iran
Hernán Darío Gómez announced the starting team that will present in the friendly on Thursday against the Asian team.
The common factor of the eleven that will stop the Panamanian coach against Iran is the youth, clear proof that he will use the game to prove players who have not added many minutes with the selected one.
The lineup, which reproduced the official account of the Panamanian Football Federation, will be integrated by José Calderón; Leslie Heráldez, Roberto Chen, Jan Carlos Vargas and Erick Davis; Manuel Vargas, Armando Cooper, Marcos Sánchez, Ricardo Avila and Josiel Núñez; Gabriel Torres.
The clash between Panama and Iran will take place this Thursday, from 14.45, at the Merkur Arena in Graz, Austria."

Now lets see if our boys can man-up and beat the shitt outa this seemingly weak 2nd strings of Panama...!!
i'd expect a convincing win, even if we also likely line up an experimental side..!!
