WTF?! The one time TM is playing a match in the Netherlands and it's behind closed doors?! And that for "security reasons"?! Do they think Iran is playing Saudi Arabia, or that Esteghlal is playing PP in there, or what?!

    Fvck off man, complete BS!
Persian Pride running through my veins!

    Esteghlal for life!!

The real reason and problem is IFF! They didn't manage to arrange the whole thing in time, thats also the reason why Gelredome didn't accept the proposal.
      Exactly.

I personally don't care. This probably has more to do with budget restraints more than anything. Having a crowd requires security, ticket sellers and many other things, which with current issues with IFF is limited.

CQ probably made this decision and it's smart. All we need from this friendly is a preparation match for Worldcup. Try some new formations and tactics.

You're right, end of the day we want our players to be physically and tactically ready. But I wonder if it affects them mentally playing with no crowd, do they feel motivated the same way they would it a stadium with a crowd? Of course they must be motivated to prepare for the world cup but it may play in their minds.

Barcelona played with no crowds only weeks ago. I mean it's not that big of a deal if you weren't going to watch the game in the stadium.

I probably think there was not enough demand for tickets, so they couldn't break even.

Yeah I believe our players are mentally stronger than they probably were 3-4 years ago.

Even with no crowds, I still want them to play Venezuela to get some exposure to South American teams.
Any friendly is better than no friendly.

Real question is, will it be broadcasted?

There would've been much more Iranians in Nijmegen, than at tomorrow's game vs Panama.

I know what I think. The stadium is not that big. And there will be for sure alot of antiregiem group like mojahedin or saltanattalab with their flags in stadium. If it was a open game then was more a fight between different groups than seeing the game
the best team will be 11 MARADONA to watchsigpic
