I wish we could see more of Torabi. Abdollahzadeh was a very interesting revelation. Ghoddos did very well.

I'm thinking is it ever possible for CQ to go for something like this:

    Azmoun

    Taremi-Ghoddos-ARJ

    (any DM)- Ezz

    Mohammadi-PAG-Cheshmi-Rezaian

Iranian players are banned from playing for UAE clubs due to naming their league Arabian gulf.
Qatar is the one where he can sign

I dont see him benching dejagah, or that ever being a possibility . We play so much better with him. My concern is that without a team, he is losing his burst of pace, and is getting tired quicker. No amount of fitness training can mimic the game exactly. And we need one of hosseini or montazeri to start next to PAG, eventually cheshmi can come in there, but not for the WC. I also think at this point its fairly clear the GK is gonna be beiranvand, barring some disaster.

Well then why not Iran league or 2nd bundesliga?

I really hope Abedzadeh plays on Monday.

            My line up would be:

            Abedzadeh; Rezaeian-Hosseini-Pouraliganji-Mohammadi; Dejagah-Ezzatolahi-Hajsafi; Jahanbakhsh-Azmoun-Ghoddos

At this point, I would hope he signs anywhere even 2nd bundesliga would be good enough.
He keeps saying he will sign after these friendlies so lets see what he does but anywhere is better than nowhere to atleast keep his fitness in shape

overall very good first half and a not so good second half which was also the case with Panama.

Ezatollahi played a solid game and controlled much of the one-on-one matchups with high balls. It's unfortunate we will miss him in the first game especially if it's against a physical team. We really miss mohammadi and his speed. Ashkan still showed that he is our best technical player eventhough as usual his lack of stamina caught up with him in the 2nd half.

Still a year to go, but I think outside of the GK spot, our biggest concern is a lack of that a leader on this young team. We have a number of young talents on the roster, but, we are lacking a veteran that can lead the team much like Nekounam or Abedzadeh did in the past. Dejagah is not a 90 minute player, and hosseini as solid as he is, doesn't have that temperament.

He will never ever replace Sardar, but he can definitely complement him the way Taremi has been successfully doing.
Exactly he is a perfect CF or "shadow striker". These players pull pressure and players towards them and away from the actual centre striker that will score. It's actually really effective, and he has the dribbling, speed and strength to be really effective in this role. I would never play him as the person furthest in front but playing behind Azmoun he can be a threat.

I caught the second half and the end of the first.

My impression was that the game was very physical and fast paced which was great to see for a TM friendly.

First half I loved seeing the quick passing which the players used to retain possession when Panama was being very aggressive and pressing hard.

I was really impressed by Karims dribbles near and in the box he surely upped his striker skills in Greece.

Those who asked why Torabi wasn't playing: He stayed in Iran since he was banned on leaving the country and might end up becoming Sarbaz. Why did IFF remain quiet on this??
