Few impressions of my visit to the stadium yesterday [updated with pictures]

    Good morning guys,

I don’t know if any other PDFC members were at the game yesterday or not – anyway, I would like to share a bit about my visit to the stadium yesterday.
It was my second time watching an official TM match live at the stadium. The number of spectators was only 1/100 compared to the one you have in Azadi, but to be completely honest, if yesterday’s majority of fans represents the atmosphere and type of people going to games in Iran, I’m not sure if I would ever like to go there. I will tell you why a bit later. Also, I don’t want to talk about the game itself as most of you saw it anyway. I will just summarize my experience with some positive and negative impressions as well as some pics and videos later today.

+ Personality of our players: I really like the way the boys treat us fans. After the game, the players came to our side of the ranks and Sardar & Karim even gave their jerseys to some kids. But more importantly, later when some of us went to the back entrance of the stadium where the players get into their busses, the boys (although attacked by some of the fans like animals) stayed very calm and friendly, took the time to take pictures with us and even pushed away security guards who were trying to hold back the fans. Sardar even came out of the bus once again because he saw many fans standing outside the bus asking for pictures with him. Dameshoon garm vaghean. Friendly, down-to-earth and ba-gheyrat boys! Not arrogant at all!

    - Majority of Iranian fans at yesterday’s game: Guys, as an Iranian living in Austria, I feel ashamed by the attitude of many our hamvatanis here. You could tell that most of the fans yesterday left Iran just within the last couple of years. Drunk, high, foshing around next to kids, starting fights with each other, insulting security guards and policemen AND insulting our players the dirtiest way. What an uncivilized pack of people! Iranians in Austria and in Europe generally are known to be very educated, civilized and polite people and to be highly different than other minorities who often struggle with integrating themselves into the culture of the new country they are living in. What I saw yesterday is a complete different image of Iran these people are bringing to Austria (and perhaps other countries).

What made me very sad is that even when Sardar came out of the bus to take more pictures with them, two of the fans started to insult him (and his family) for his latest performance in Russia. He tried to stay calm although after a while when they were repeating with the insults he became emotional and some of TM staff had to pull him back into the bus. Sad. Another fight was about to start.

All in all: always good to see TM live! I love our players, but feel ashamed by the attitude of so many fans yesterday. Anyway, jatoon khali and I will post some pics (and videos if possible) later today.

      Thanks for the detailed report!

Shame on those disrespectful morons that call themselves TM fans. Whatever you think of the players’ performances, to insult them or their families personally is stooping to the lowest level and should be absolutely condemned. The players play with pride for their country, and this is the way some fans treat them? Disgusting. Let’s all call these types of guys out whenever we watch TM games in person and demonstrate our good manners and civilized behavior.

In any case, glad we won. Faghat Iran [emoji1130]

can second that. born and raised in germany, both of my parents studied here aswell. we had, maybe still have here a better reputation than other middle easterners but idk for how long. most of the new iranians coming here are not the type of people you want to associate yourself with. the same goes apparently to canada aswell as my friend told me. BUT its more or less normal, were people like everyone else, means theres good people in it, bad people, educated etc

You have to realize that not all of people going to game are FANS.
There are ulterior motives for people that attend these games.
Certain groups urge their followers to go to games and make sure to make as much trouble as they can to make IRAN and all other IRANIANS look bad.

unfortunately we clearly harmed our reputation of being a sophisticated, well educated ethnic group living in Europe because of a rather large group of morons yesterday. I somehow start to understand why the Iranian authorities tend to built ugly stadiums with a track. At least 20 guys jumped over the fence and confronted the players on the pitch, they tried to literally undress the players just to get their shirts. That was pretty annoying to watch. Amiri, Ansarifard and some other player hardly managed to keep their jerseys on.....

At least the other visitors called those uncivilized idiots "bishuurah" during their fight for nothing....

The Culture of Hafez Saadi Kurosh has been raped by this disgusting islamic barbaric arabian influence.
For me the raping of Persian Culture is one of the biggest tragedies of human history
generations of Iranian and people of the world have been robbed and they dont even know it

                Good points are posted.

Thanks for going to stadium and showing your support.

Yes, there are good, average and bad people in every society. Bad Iranians will learn soon to behave or to be left out.

Yes, some come to Iran games to show their flags, their crazy chants, etc.

I have stood up to bad people and have told them to stop their foosh.

I didn't manage to make many more pics with the players. After a while I also felt sorry for them and didn't wanna hold them for more and more pics.

I got one with ARJ, one of my favourite players currently, Karim, Ramin, Milad and also Nazar (famous Iranian rapper in Vienna).

^ while I totally agree many Iranian fans are uneducated classless boors, but the reason for track inclusion in stadiums is NOT to keep fans.
It's been reported that they have a template for stadiums and the contractors simply and mindlessly put in a track while building stadiums without thinking if it's needed or not

You gotta understand that a lot of people that go to stadiums, for any team, in any country are idiots.

But I will tell you what, at least having lived in Germany, we have made a better name for ourselves than any other group from the Middle East.

                      Keep up the good fight[emoji1434][emoji1130]

If I ever heard fans dissing our players to their face, I would definitely smack the shit out of them.

I couldnt make it yesterday to Graz. I went to the Iran Chile friendly and I was really disappointed by the fans! We Iranians have no fan culture!

I have to be thankful Iranians in Vancouver aren't like this at all... I've still never witnessed any that acted the way you guys say here. Vancouver really is the greatest city ever.
