Few impressions of my visit to the stadium yesterday [updated with pictures]
absolutely no freaking excuse for personal insults thrown at our TM players...!
especially when , as stated, they were doing their outmost to be friendly and mesh with the fans after the game..! that is a really sad reporting of your game day experience
if i were there, i certainly woulda confronted the classless, drunken-jackasses..!
can't say that im much a civil football fan myself, sure i love to get shitt faced and and go to Club games, stand in the rowdy section and shitt talk and singNcheer and even fosh but i'd never do that in general/family section of the stadiums, especially in front of children ..! there is a time and place for this sorta stuff and it aint right for folks to excuse that sorta ignorant behavior by comparing it hooligan behavior in headed rivalry match..!
anyways i dont know how much of that report is possibly overly-dramatized, but still sad to read...!
lol I remember around 6-7 years ago I went to azadi to watch a naft tehran vs esteghlal game (first time in azadi and free tickets) It was a dead game and only around 20k had shown up.
As the game finished and everyone started leaving the stadium, they all started singing "Vahedi khoshgele, k*seh nanasheh", this went on for about 10 mins and really loud. It was one of the most bizarre things I had witnessed.
In the early 90s I went to Amjadieh for a match. It didn't involve Esteghlal or Persepolis and so the stadium was relatively empty (I wanna say it was between Keshavarz and Sanat and Madan Bank). So as the announcer is giving the lineup of one team after every name there is a lame "shireh" by the people in attendance until he got to the last name which had a similar reaction except one guy didn't stop his shireh and continued extending it as shireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh long after the name was announced and everyone else had gone quiet. He must have done that for a a full 30 seconds and had the whole half empty stadium cracking up.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.
Well wait for some of these savages and indeed those trouble-making individuals not Fans make the same antics in Russia, they will get a good hiding by the rugged Russian crack units and then end up in a Russian camp in the tropical Siberia. Bring your Hawaiian shirts with you lads!
What a jackass.. And I don’t care if he’s Iranian or Panamanian. You don’t just interrupt an interview like that. And if you do, at least do it with some class.. Embarrassing the rest of us.
I believed you Shayan when you said this, but this is confirmation.
baba all fans all over the world regardless of nationality are shit. they like to be in center of attention and stir shit up. look at the turkish fans , italian fans, balkan fans, russian fans, dont worry we are not alone, yes its a disgrace but hey we not the only ones that do it loooool
Thanks for the report. I share the same observations as you about the Iranians coming to Europe in the last years.
However I disagree with drawing conclusions about the Iranian society from these people, though the society is in a steady decline. What you guys have to understand is that the vast majority of Iranians coming here recently are IR affiliates. It is becoming more and more impossible for regular Iranians (with no IR connections) to get here, even on a students visa. Thus you have this disproportionate amount of scumbags coming here destroying our reputation, the work of decades.
Same goes for Canada, as IR has good relations to Europe and Canada. Vancouver might be somewhat protected geographically. I believe the situation is way better in the US comparably.
It might not be such a bad thing afterall that there arent going to be any fans in Nijmegen.
Anyways lets hope the day we dont have to worry about these problems anymore comes sooner rather than later.

It's not just a recent thing tbh, the majority of Iranians coming to England in the last 20 years or so have been scummy and to make matters worse their offsprings that are the current 1st gen kids/teens are mostly gangster wannabes and trouble makers doing illegal activity in school. Ofc I am generalising but you get the idea.

I see your point. This phenomenon is almost as old as IR. In England, the country of IR godfathers, it's of course the worst.
In central Europe though they used to be a minority until recently, as there have always been many good Iranians here. In Shah's time many came here (especially to Germany and France) for studying and stayed.

You guys should not confuse European hooligans with these Iranians. These Iranians are seemingly normal people with no knowledge of football fan culture or even the way to conduct oneself in a football stadium. For one thing they are simply cultureless with their undirected antics and behaviour infront of families. For another they seemingly purposefully provoke and harass the own team, which has me thinking that they might have been professional trouble-makers.

Unfortunately many Iranians abused the system of the compassionate Labour government in power, which took in a lot of refugees coming to the UK. The majority used made up stories about either converting to Christianity/being gay or being political to gain asylum and claim free housing and welfare.
Ofc this abuse gave turn to the current racist Conservative government in power and in general destroyed the reputation of Iranians here, not only that but it actually ruined it for real refugees and made it harder for them to claim asylum and also made the Brits very racist and anti-foreigners.
