I am more than confident we will bear Al Jazira in Azadi, however my goodness what kind of defense and defending was all this? Both Perspolis and TM over and over have been proven to be shaky and terrible in defense when Jalal Hosseini is not utilized. And again both TM and Perspolis worry me to the max with Beiranvand's inconsistent display. He in a way directly/indirectly was at fault in both these goals. His biggest weakness is blocking low shots, been conceding many of them. His exits and timings are also terrible.

Nonetheless scoring 2 away goals and losing by one goal margin away against an average team is typically not all that worrisome, shit happens in all sports. What really scares me is our horrendous defending and unreliable goaltending...

Kamal Kamiyabinia is out for 3 months again for the same shoulder separation and dislocation problem.
He is also finished with TM as well for the WC.

Zob is looking really vulnerable especially when they put two or three guys forward. SS can finish the job in this match with clinical finishing, but without thiam that may be hard

What save are you talking about! that one that Shojaian shot it out right after? or that one which he sent the ball to corner? In both occasions Rashid made mistake. In first occasion his bad position caused him to hit the ball with one hand like a amateur player and sent the ball right in front of SS player two meters away from him. In second occasion it was a back pass by Morteza Tabrizi and Rashid was again not ready with his positioning so in last moment he just deflected the ball to the corner to prevent an own goal. A goal keeper should be ready for such a situation. I have seen much better saves from Mazaheri. Today he is more sloppy in my opinion.

Esteghlal much better so far with many more opportunities. Zob Ahan's only chance so far was a long distance shot by Hadadifar.

Too bad Tiam is injured! He would have easily scored in this match if he was playing. Also Shojaeian was subbed off due to an injury.
