This would take a lot, but imagine if Persepolis and Esteghlal don't face each other in the quarterfinals, and both advance to face each other in the semifinals! That would be the most epic derby ever!

I am hoping for a potential Tehran Derby but with Perspolis getting weaker going into next season, I can't see them beating Al Duhail.
SS vs Saad will be very close however

I never understand why AFC can't do Champions League similar to UEFA. Start in August and end in May. Absolute BS that they cut it off during the summer

Al Duhail won every single match in ACL until now and never lost in their league (19 wins 3 draws). This team is really impressive.

Fun Fact: Persepolis was the last team to beat Al-Duhail (Lekhwiya) almost an year ago. Since then, they have gone unbeaten in their league and won all of 8 ACL matches this year.
Imagine them being knocked out by Persepolis again!

If perspolis score and draw the first leg, we have good chances to advance in front of our home fans. but pp should definetley score, and hopefully draw the match. (1:1, 2:2, 3:3...) even losing 2:1 or 3:2 is okay, but we should better score....if the match goes to extra time, it will be in tehran, so make sure we have a good result in first leg.

ESES has it way easier, Persep has a sad tendency to choke under pressure in away games! This Al Duhail is way better than AL Jazira and we all saw how Persep choked conceding a goal in the last minute to lose the away game! They must draw at the very least ( preferably with an away goal) and hope to draw 0-0 in the home game ! Very tough, but IMO if Persep beats AL Duhail then ACL trophy is but a whisker away!

i think their schedule is based on the east asian countries leagues like Japan who are only half way through their league right now
