Quite the opposite. I grew up a massive Esteghlal fan but as I got older I got more and more disenchanted with the IPL so I stopped following Iranian club football. So I don't follow Esteghlal that much but I am still an Esteghlal fan but not like I was when I was a boy.

This would take a lot, but imagine if Persepolis and Esteghlal don't face each other in the quarterfinals, and both advance to face each other in the semifinals! That would be the most epic derby ever!

Esteghlal is the only team playing tactically solid football ATM, I think they are the only team standing a chance in this competition.

Just 2 quality foreign players in thiam and djeparov bring up the quality.

Plus rahmati has been great so far for them .

realistically SS will have a better chance of making the semi-final and final, as they can add players in the summer, while persepolis will only lose key players (moharrami so far is the first confirmed departure)

Actually that's the hallmark of Mr. Ghalenoi persuading opponent players to join SS. But it is old kori which is not important for me anymore.

Even though the referee had many calls in benefit of SS and even though i think Zobahan could of qualified but im happy that it ended with SS as ghalenoi will be leaving to Sepahan (99%) and who knows how zobahan would maintain their form if GN leaves.

That rocket of a shot by Haddadifar was amazing which makes me think.....why the h*ll isn't he invited to TM camp?!!! In the absence of Ezatollahi against Morocco, he's just the type of the player we need!!!

wow. Not only noorafkan, but also hosseini seem that they are on their way out to europe. Incredible for our football if 4 young stars become legionnaires this summer (Torabi, Gholizadeh, Noorafkan, Hosseini). It looks fairly likely. But it will not be ideal for SS. They will need to replace these guys, and keep thiam for sure.

Also when does PP's transfer ban end? They should really try to go get hosseini from zob ahan, would be a great addition for them in wide/attacking midfield position which they are struggling in.
