How are tickets being made available on viagogo when tickets are yet to be issued and individuals are not allowed to sell tickets on?

I ask as I have three tickets to get rid of, I was going to return them at cost price but if I can make money off them on Viagogo then I would be tempted (I realise morally it's not right but my bank balance is also not right so...)

if you apply for ticket with canadian passport, you will get a fan id using your canadian passport, hence you have to enter russia via canadian passport since the fan id is your visa, you can't apply with 1 passport to get ticket and use another passport to enter russia. you can leave canada with canadian passport, however if you apply a ticket using irananian passport, you WILL HAVE TO ENTER using the passport you apply ticket and fan id with in this case will be the Iranian passport. remember get the fan id , YOUR FAN ID = VISA FOR 6 WEEKS IN RUSSIA

VIAGOGO is no scam.
its an event ticket selling site, i buy music concert tickets from them all the time.
however never football.
the etickets up for sale on viagogo now are subject to them buying the tickets from fifa when they go on sale again in april (first come first served)

This is what I thought too. But, here is what it says on their website:

"Can I buy a ticket using one identity document and apply for a FAN ID with another one?
Yes, you can. It is not important which document was used for ticket purchasing. However, in order to receive your FAN ID you need to provide the same identity document that was used to fill in the FAN ID application form."

yes i applied for tickets during the second round. around mid December. I also think my credit card hasnt actually been charged and it will only be charged when I get the tickets. I applied for 4 tickets (gorup of 4 which was the max). people who applied first round should already have gotten their tickets.

as far as i know nobody from the second round application has gotten tickets yet.

spoke to a friend who had attended Brazil and South Africa. according to him, the presence of the main applicant is compulsory to collect the ticket. However the other applicants no need to be present but their passports are required. and it will be really hard to change the name and passport number of the applicants.

so for those people who want to pass their tickets to friends, or in my case to non-iranan friends who are travelling with me, i need to collect the tickets using the passport of the persons i registered the tickets with and then pass the tickets to whoever i want.

? they musta gotten theirs in the first 2 of the ticket-sales phases ???
were on the 3rd ticket sales phase currently and your on the same boat as me and ehsan, as ehsan mentioned we should find out by early Feb, IF we have secured our tickets via a confirmation email from FIFA ..! Although i read somewhere that it may also take till sometimes March officially, before we will find out officially the faith of our ticket application..??

i agree, this whole ordeal is a major PITA..!! But i guess, they did that in order to avoid black markets securing most all the tickets and then price gauging them on secondary markets and or try to run an unaffiliated to FIFA WC travel and ticket arrangements..!!

I’m pretty hopeful most of us will get our first & 3rd game ticket..!? 2nd one may have way too much demand..!?
It’s hard to scam FIFA for tickets with them requiring passport numbers from each attendee ticket & already suing viagogo, which seems to be the only other alternative to FIFA So far with WC tickets.
Also the Doubling of your Fan ID as Visa & free transportation benefits further discourages alternate scandalous sources for WC tickets to flourish & establish a profitable enough of a venture for black marketing these tickets. ..!?

So I had a friend call Russia and speak to them. Apparently it does not matter what passport you purchase the tickets with, the important thing is for your Fan ID to be registered with the passport you are travelling with. So technically you can buy with an Iranian passport and travel with another passport and register your Fan ID with.

Take this with a grain of salt, can't be hundred percent certain!
