          The fanID they won't send to me because it's too close to the tourney, so I have to print the e-ticket and present it in Russia.
          Question: Are there any official fan meet-ups or plans? This is my first world cup. Do people go to the stadium early and tailgate/party or what? are there official fan bars?
          Also, I used my iranian passport to purchase my tickets. Does FIFA try to seat fans based on the country they support?

          Edit: here are my seats. Who is near me?

          Morocco: C213, Row 20, Seats 4-6
          Spain: A303, Row 15, Seats 12-14
          My first was in Brazil.

          Believe me Russia will be more organized. I'm only going for the Morocco game but I spoke to a Russian girl in my class(family from St. Petersburg) and did some research. These are the places she recommended.

          St. Petersburg:

          Hermitage Museum
          Church of Spilled Blood
          Peterhof Palace
          St. Isaacs Cathedral
          Palace Square

          For my own interest(along with my little brother coming with me) I'm hitting up the Soviet Arcade museum also

          Don't forget that Konushennaya square is where the fanzone is. I guarantee that the night before Iran-Morocco everyone will be joining there to watch Russia-Saudi. THIS IS AN AMAZING TIME for us to get together meet each other and root against the Saudis with the locals. From what I see people will also be meeting at the square 3 hours before kickoff for Iran-Morocco and will head to the stadium together.

            And they don't even say if it's the earlier or later of those two dates in the FAQ section. So, in my case with a TST-4 series, I probably won't get my refund until the beginning of August, even though all my group stage tickets were sold a few weeks ago!!!

            As far as where to send them, here are the instructions I e-mailed to another friend:

            You can courier them back (urgent and registered recommended at this point since they have to be received at least 7 days before the match) to this address:

            FIFA World Cup Ticketing Centre
            SEAMOS House
            Brooks Drive
            Cheadle Royal Business Park
            Cheadle
            SK8 3SA
            England

            They also give the following instructions:

            • Tickets must be received by the FWCTC at least 7 days prior to the match;
            • All costs in relation to the return of the Tickets by courier are to be borne by the Ticket Purchaser;
            • Ticket Purchaser will be solely liable for any undelivered or lost Tickets;
            • Ticket Purchaser must complete any documents as required; and
            • FIFA Venue Ticketing Centre staff will follow enhanced security protocols to deal with the returned Tickets.

            Please also ensure that you obtain proof of postage detailing:
            - the date and time of postage;
            - the senders name, address, and passport/ID information;
            - the recipient’s name, address;
            - the contents of the package (including match, category, quantity and name on Ticket(s)) ;

            I have looked everywhere and I can’t find any official documents highlighted in red above to be filled out, so maybe just include a letter in there saying you’re returning these tickets to be released for resell.
            Thanks.
            Right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

                Hey guys I did a little research on using a SIM/Prepaid card for our stay in Russia.
                Unfortunately neither Telekom nor Vodafone provide cards or offer for this country (let's thank FIFA again for accepting reshve). All of them said that they recommend to buy a card in Russia.
                Since we will arrive in the middle of the night before the game day it would be nice if some of you, who will go to ST. Petersburg a few days earlier could inform us where to buy sim cards in the airport.
                Merci

                  very risky...i hope you reach the match at kick-off time, but this way it is no fun not to have the feeling the hours before the match in the streets, fan fest and venue...

                  you should all inform yourself about bus and train. free train is not possible anymore, this was the reason why i told you all book your tickets in late 2017. but try for bus and train (sleeping possible also) and also better flights, but of course it is late, you have to pay the price for sparing your money and time from 2017 till now.
