You're thanking the worng Person... All above freindlies arranged by CQ and his personal relationship."If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend."~Bruce Lee

how is playing them a waste of time? if we get them which is highly unlikely for a friendly even , even if we lose we take away experience with us. thats more beneficial then us being on the fifa point scale.Originally posted by Gotham View PostWe'll lose comfortably to Germany & Spain... waste of time

After the chaotic and pathetic performances of esteemed Federations such as:
the Spanish : firing coach day before WC, poor performances, early exit, identity crisis.
Argentine :All around disaster, couldn't even put a statement to back coach during WC, leading to rumors about who was actually coaching the team,
Italy : horrible coaching choice, failed to get to WC, severe lack of talent
and now of course German: with a disaster of a performance in all aspects, technical, leadership, etc, couldnt keep control of off the pitch issues and thus they showed on the pitch too, All totally exposed by Ozil's statement.
It is time again to thank Mr. Taj, president of our football federation, for creating one of the least hashiye TM's in history, and allowing us to present ourselves in a proud way on the world stage.
A solid preparation plan, which Queiroz himself accepted. With all the disgusting and unfair sanctions on our country, that prevent us from organizing friendlies with even the slightest bit of decency and respect, this guy got us the best friendlies possible to prepare for Morocco in Algeria and Tunisia, solid games vs South American teams in Panama and Venezuela, and two high profile friendlies vs the hosts Russia, and of course Turkey. Tried his best to get a replacement for greece game, which eventually led to his heart attack, and missing the chance to be with TM in WC.
An excellent camp choice in a central moscow location in the most high tech russian facility belonging to league Champs Lokomotiv Moscow. Fans were allowed to meet players here, everybody was very happy with it, it was so advanced that Italy had it reserved until their shock failure to get to Russia.
Equipment for TM. With all the sanctions and shit we all know are aware exists, even in this seemingly meaningless sphere (team uniforms????? Really????), this guy got us original adidas gear which looked great on the pitch. The players, apart from that weird lettering mishap, looked comfortable and fitted, and our kits were by no means embarrassing like previous years when we didnt have enough, they wouldnt hold up in rain, and foreign media kept making fun of them. Additionally, our players got domestic suits, bringing in a great company like Hacoupian, also incorporating an underrepresented minority in the national team picture, Armenian-Iranian. Not to mention, the players looked fantastic, and got the adoration and positive coverage of international medias.
Backing CQ fully, keeping him for WC and now AC, sticking by his choices and requests. I remember when iranian media kept pestering him about Jalal and Vouria exclusions, and he shut them up by saying that this is the head coach and his job is to make difficult choices, and we back him totally. Meanwhile, Germany couldnt even produce a similar statement to defend ozil. He has also managed to keep Queiroz for the Asian Cup officially now, also great work, but isnt bending over backwards to him by offering him another 4 year deal on the same pay, also smart move.
Beginning better dialogue between national team and clubs. His current intervention on Majid Hosseini is a prime example, trying to get SS to settle matter with Trabzon instead of make another international incident.
His oversight of our youth teams (great performances overall. First QF of u17, what performances! All from domestic coach, got great preparation and high profile friendlies vs France and Mexico, great stars that can be TM lynchpins in years to come, smart brand of football, international respect. U20's , even with poor coach in peiravani, performed very solidly, and were unlucky not to go through. Finally won a game vs Costa Rica in opener, Had zambia until they got too cocky, and gave portugal a real fight, if not for VAR they might have gone through (deja vu ay). Now he has got Kranjcar in Omid, the most high profile, qualfied iranian youth coach in a long time.
His oversight of our beach and Futsal teams that remain amongst the top in the world.
Oversight of Womens teams, which despite huge obstacles, are improving with great performances in futsal, and better performances in youth outdoor competitions.
And finally a great WC performance by TM in which we were a hair away from advancing from the most difficult group in the WC (despite what KC may say ), and earned the respect of many pundits and players from around the world.
Again, than you MR. TAJ, and good time to bring back this thread. Hope he can keep up the good work for Asian Cup.
