Which player made you love the game?Iranian or non

    For me it was Totti
I was born in 1988 so all I can remember of the world cup 1994 was just a few moments here and there. In world cup 98 I cheered for Iran and Italy with my families but it wasn't untill euro 2000 where I could fully appreciate the magic totti displayed that tournament

How about you.. who was the player who made you start to love the game

Phillip Lahm- everything I know playing as a RB back then came from him. Class player. Esp in US where I was one of the shorter players on the team.

Miroslav Klose- they dont make them like that anymore. Such a prolific opportunistic striker.

Wayne Rooney. Wazza is King. While watching Iran with my dad made me become a fan, watching Manchester United with Rooney/Ronaldo/Van Nistelrooy and co def did with football.

For me it was Zidane and Rosicky. The 2006 WC I fell in love with the czech's and then with Zidane. I remember crying so much as a little kid when he got red carded.

                  Thierry Henry

As for Team Melli, I never really had one player that drew me towards the team. It was mostly my passion for Iran and Persian Culture...

It was far too long ago and do not remember exactly. However, I do remember that Farshad Piyous, Hamid Derakhshan, Sirous Ghayeghran and Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh were among the first Iranian footballers I admired. Specially Ghayeghran as captain and goalscoring machine Piyous for Persepolis and Derakhshan's skills on the field and Abedzadeh's superior goalkeeping.

As for foreigners Lothar Matthaus, Jurgen Klinsmann, Rudi Voller, Marco Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Rinat Dasayev, Hugo Sanchez, Emilio Butragueno, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Grobbelaar. Maradona I liked his footballing skills but never liked his personality.

I loved the game before I knew any players.

100% Ronaldo Luiz Nazario de Lima. People should watch his highlights more often. He would make defenders fall into each other.
