I became interested when I was watching Iran in the 2006 World Cup. And my dad would take me to watch some of Irans games in a kaleh pache place when I was around that age.
I loved Ali daei and mahdavikia

For non Iranian players Ronaldinho, Zidane, Pirlo, Maldini, and Miroslav Klose

when i was a youngin i think it was karl heinz romininge o ali parvin

in my late teens and 20s, i idolized primarily Romario, tried to match his haircuts and i even got my freaking ear pierced (for which i got so much shitt from my brothers/family that i took it off after a short week, and MJ also had some influence in that silly decision of mine..! )
oddly didnt care for Maradonna nor Pele...!! i guess because they were being hyped too much ..? i feel the same about Messi and Ronaldo these days too..!!

later on I was all about Mighty AK8...!!
Hanoozam ke hannozeh vaghti bazia AK ro mibinam, i fall in love with the game all over again..!!

Watching AK8 play = ESHGH va HAAL

louis v gaal and his ajax team that won the champions league and the dutch national team since '94-'02.
player no one else but the great LUIS FIGO, especially his barca days (as they were also playing the dutch style).
oh and of course Tsubasa Ohzora & the one from Kickers!

As far back as my memory allows me to go back (age 4) I loved playing football. So I guess my uncles and the kids around the neighborhood made me love the the game.

But my fav early players were Baggio, Beckham, Bagheri and Abedzadeh.

I started watching football because of Ali Karimi in Bayern München, and then Team Melli at WC 2006.

Ali Karimi and Ronaldinho were the main reasons why I became fan of Perspolis (and started following Iranian football) and Barcelona.
