Morocco being a North African country, Iran has played a number of African oppositions in recent years. Be it that Morocco playing style is diffrent.
Above all Team Meli poses a diffrent opposition than other world cups and with specially strength coming from its European based players will be the surprise of the tournament.

The above is mainly CQ-driven so it’s imparative that they give this guy all the tools and the enemies shut up.

It’s better for Team Melli when they underestimate us. The more motivation and drive to prove them wrong. Just look at what Algeria did in the 1982 World Cup. The West Germans made fun of them and said they would walk all over their team dedicating goals to their pets. Algeria took all of that and used it as a tool to beat them. Algeria won 2-1.

I am positively realistic my good sir.

Two extremely good teams, with tons of talent, football foundation and financial backing have been grouped with Iran. Raw talent, passion and determination can only get you so far. How much $$$ does the Portuguese and Spanish football federations spend on their teams and their preparation? How much has our good old IFF spent on our TM? Even if we say TM is going to play on level grounds, we end up getting screwed over by referees, remember the PK that should've been awarded to TM against Argentina?

I believe in our TM. We had a very weak team in 2014 and held the World Cup runner ups to a draw past 90 minutes. Argentina in 2014 was a vey good team, as is Spain and Portugal today. Portugal are the Euro champs, but they made out of their group without winning a single game! They were terrible throughout the tournament. Im not saying that we're hoping for 3 draws, but we can't say our WC is over just because on paper these teams look better. Spain isn't even the Spain from 2010-12. We are a much better TM than we were 4 years ago. I feel that the game vs. Morocco will a victorious one. Yes its a tough group, but I will accept this challenge as a TM fan and support them now, during the group stage and when we play in our first Round of 16 game in 2018. GO TEAM MELLI!!

you can addd C.Q already meet Morocco in Africa cup in 2002 if i remember, when he was coach of south africa and he beats Morocco 3 - 1, so he know Morocco too and know players, portugal, spain and Morocco as neighbors know each other.. many moroccan played and play in portugal and spain, so C.Q have little advantage maybe. anyway good luck and may the one who deserve win

Enjoy living in la la land? So being optimistic is living in la la land?

Dude if you watch Iranian football you would know that although our chances are said by everyone to be slim (due to the overall strength and success of Portugal/Spain), you would know that we have progressed a lot since 2014 and we're not the same team. That being said, even an Iran in 2014 could hold Portugal to a draw. But since you watch more Iranian football than the rest of us we should be listening to you, right?

When we go to the World Cup and do well in Russia, please don't be one of those people that comes out and says, "I knew we would do it! I told you guys! Congratulations! GO IRAN ". Hiding is probably a better option. Because it's better to hide than to pretend to be a fan of a team.

I'm sorry if I offended you, but it is sort of annoying when you have supported your team through the thick and thin and people who are "fans" mock and make fun of our chances.

They way I look at even if we miss out on making the round of 16 next year, the experience of playing against such great teams will make us stronger in every which way that we will be back four years from now ready to cause an upset to even the greatest of teams.
