That match Iran won was versus Mersin İdman Yurdu. Also the game listed for 1974 was not "A" international as Iran was Malavan Anzali.

So conclusion: Iran never defeated Turkey in "A" international. Iran managed to only score 1 goal in 5 meetings. Last "A" international between two countries was back in 1969! such a long time for two neighbouring countries not to play eachother!

they just say according to a portal Iran will play Peru on the 17th of March in Tehran. Peru will take on Croatia 5 days later. Logistic wise not impossible to be honest.

Wikipedia says this is the schedule. Take it with a grain of salt. I have seen sources also saying Iran - Peru is March. 18th.
Please also note that only the Libya, Uzbekistan, and Turkey matches have actually been confirmed.
If the schedule is this tight, the squad will be rotated heavily. If we can get even 2 of these games I'll be surprised.
