i don't understand why we play Libya at home, Algeria in Austria, and Tunisia in Tunis now.

Makes no sense. IFF does not know what to do, they have problem for making fixtures, and it seems venue and date changes every half and hour...

If you want to play with local players and because of league and arc cl vs. Libya at home, okay do it.

But if you play Tunisia away, than also playing Algeria away makes more sense. we can not use our camp in Austria if we go first to Tunisia, than back to Austria for Algeria friendly.

The best way it would be playing Algeria and Tunisia away, and cancel the camp, or to camp in Austria and play both teams there. but half half is fully shitty...

Even better would be playing Libya, Algeria, and Tunisia away......probably IFF does not use maps...filter shode

you know typically the details about venue with IFF are very unclear, fixed at last minute. We didnt even have a stadium for the venezuela game but eventually they figured something out. So far they have said the algeria game will be in tehran, algiers, and austria. I think eventually it will end up being in austria, makes the most sense considering we have a camp there. The tunisia game I am not sure tho

Because they care for the name of their country and wish to make their people proud and happy. They maybe are dictators as well as all Middle East governments and live away better than their average people in their country, but at least they care to make their nation proud, and what have Iranian cholokababkhor have done for their people?
I wish we were sosmarkhor but had some morals!

On paper at least, Saudi is making far more progress than us at the moment. Women can attend stadiums, princes who bitched about the state not paying for their power bills and water supply got arrested for disturbing the peace w/ their protests, another guy in authority who supported the prince's statements lost his government job, etc.
And just to stay on topic, they vividly support their footballers in a way we never do
If that isn't a sign of progress, I don't know what is...

It's a two way street. Abusing the name of Persian Gulf is racism at the highest level. Stop them from abusing the proud name of the Persian Gulf and I will consider changing my attitude toward them. Although I will never forget all the Arab governments funding Saddam Hussein to attack Iran.

How can a name be proud? A name doesn't have feelings.

You want people to not think of Iran's government as a representation of their people, yet you see "Arab" governments, which by the way consist of tens of countries and millions of people, to be represented by their governments. On top of that you think that racism is a proper response to governments invoking policies you disagree with. Your logic makes no sense.

Racism isn't the right response to anything. It's always the wrong response. End of story.

I find the name proud, and so do many other Iranians. I find it's misuse offensive and racist, and If you don't take offense to the misuse and abuse of name Persian Gulf than GTFO. Ironic for someone who has a quote about dying while standing and not living on his knees in indignity. While you are at it, why don't you give UAE Greater and Lesser Tunbs along with Abu Musa? Or turn over the South Pars gas field to Qatar.

I didn't say anything about the Iranian government, don't twist my words and add BS to the conversation. Arab people are as racist toward Iran and Iranians just as much as their governments are. You come here with your higher than thou attitude, generalize individuals on here and brand people as racist, and act as if the racism between Iranians and Arabs is a one sided affair fueled by Iranians.

I woudn't take his opinion seriously. In the past he had demonstrated that his view could easily be swayed for 200k.
