If someone should be left out it's Ansarifard. So many years of disappointment, never really convinced in any of his matches for TM. Also he misses so many 100 % chances. How many opportunities for a goal do you think we get against Spain and Portugal ?
I just can't imagine him vs the best defenders in the world. One tackle from Ramos or Pepe and ballerina gets knocked out cold.

I don't vote, as six more months to go. We have to wait and re-assess. As things stand now, Karim and Kaveh are on fire, but Gucci has the experience of big matches and was our sole scorer in the previous edition.

Kaveh is great and I would love to see him in Russia. He is a hustler and will be very valuable against Spain particularly, but CQ emphasizes a lot on international experience and I doubt he'll easily cross off one of his trustworthy men(Reza).

Reza is going through a descent phase and needs to re-start hs engine, otherwise it may cost his WC presence.

I think Taremi should be left out, since he is basically clubless at the moment. Furthermore he has missed a lot of 100% chances, which we wont have much at the WC. I say Kaveh, Karim, Sardar and Reza all have to be included.

Despite some of his unprofessional behavior, Taremi remains the best IPL forward. He may not be the best finisher, but he creates a lot of opportunities for himself and colleagues in every match. He is perfect for dragging some of the opposition defense whilst Sardar, Karim or others finish the job.

gucci has always delievered when we needed him, he scored against qatar in the 94 min when it was 0-0. he has always scored in big games, korea, qatar, iraq and in world cup he was good, he is not old, still playing well in europe, i mean even azmoun is not playing well, he has experience and strenght. and cq love european players, he will be in russia.

Taremi and Azmoun are locked in and above others in quality in my opinion. They are the reasons why we qualified in the first place. Kaveh is the outsider here and I don't think he has done enough (he has done nothing really) to merit being picked over Gucci. I think it is really between Ansarifard and Kaveh, Ansarifard has been given lots of opportunity, he has the experience and is in form however has not really established himself in the many many opportunities afforded to him. I think it is possible that he is excluded in favor of Kaveh but i really feel that Kaveh has not done much to merit getting a spot in the world cup squad.

Really? Azmoun has been horrible in the new season. 18 matches and 0 goals...

At the end of the day, a forward's job is to create goals (whether they score it or create space for others to exploit) and Azmoun has done niether of those all season.

Majority of people on this website are saying that Azmoun's place is secured but I'm not sure why? He was great last season, but if he continues like this, then there is no way that by June his place is secure on the team!

Carlos will have an overarching Tactical Plans for our WC group games, those strikers that Do Not Fit it as well as others will get the ax regardless of anything, especially so those who are struggling for form at the time of that decision..!
As evident by his traveling squad choice of WC14, CQ can be extremely ruthless when it comes to such decisions, and its still way too early to guess correctly which strikers will be on the chopping block.

as far as im concerned for time being, We only have 2 True, Target Strikers (Reza & Sardar), CQ could well decide take only 1 of these 2..(most likely Sardar) the rest of the lot are pretty much Wing Attackers/Attacking MFdrs..!! those with the best defensive fitness and form and most Tactical Adaptabilities will make the cut ..! At the moment i'd guess its either Karim or Kaveh ..?
