I guess when he scored 2 against Togo/made Ghoddos first goal for TM possible was me dreaming or when he pinged that ball for Taremi in WCQ. What have the other 2 done for TM (with all due respect to both players)?

I dont think we need to leave anybody home because besides Azmoun and Gucci the others can play as advanced midfielders/wingers, and ghoddos plays wing/striker/midfield so he doesnt really count as a striker either.

No matter how poorly Azmoun performs at club level, barring injury I think it's unlikely CQ keeps him at home (even if he doesn't to go on pure form). Although it wouldn't be the first time CQ had to break some bad news to him lol.

He performs well for TM. I think Kaveh's the one to go. Unproven at the TM level. Let's see how we fare in these friendlies. These next few months will be interesting, I bet we'll see an unknown gem flourish and find a spot in the team.

I think it will be Kaveh for these reasons
- not much team melli experience
- belgian league opposition is not the toughest
- karim has been in good form as of late and to me adds more flexibility

gucci def. needs to come. He is a different type of striker than these three and while sc heerenveen is not in good form right now his experience and nifty goal getting can be very valuable

I feel bad for kaveh though because he has been in such good form lately...

I don’t know about Haghighi but I gave Mohammadreza Akhbari the spot because he’s a hardworking GK who’s confidence grew under the tutelage of Dan Gaspar. He’s still young, he’s motivated, and he’s talented.

I didn’t pick Haghighi because obviously if the World Cup was next week I’d want another GK to go to at least experience being a part of that team. Haghighi already had his moment in 2014.

I also crossed off a few defenders like Saeid Aghaei and took Milad. Obviously I hypothetically chose Milad because in my mind, the World Cup is next week and Milad is not recovering and is playing. There were a couple more.

Damn, I just realized I took 5 strikers lol. Man.. Carlos will have a hard time. I understand the headache he was talking about lol.

There is no way CQ will take all of them. Just look at the different squads he has taken to world cup with SA,Portugal and Iran2k14. He only includes 2 pure strikers in his WC squads and 1 additional utility striker.

^ Gotta feel for Taremi. Being clubless doesn’t really help his chances for making the final cut. But then again Ashkan is clubless and Taremi was an influential figure in our World Cup Qualifying campaign. Carlos will have a major headache.
