Barcelona defender Gerard Pique provided a scare during Spain training on Monday as he quit training early with a knee proble,. The RFEF, though, says it's nothing serious.

Pique, who was training normally with his international teammates, has to leave the session in a hurry. The Catalan centre-back sought permission after noticing pain in his left knee and as a precaution left training.

Wow, Spain were all but down and out after the relatively subdues performances against Switzerland & Tunisia, then came the Pique scare and now for the knock-out punch: RM just signed Lopetegui (Spain's coach) to a 3 year contract.

That's gotta affect everyone's mentality going into the tournament (coach, players, fans, etc.).

I'm sure there can all care less. its not like lopetegui was with the team for 7 years and turned the whole culture of the team around (like CQ). I'm promise you the players won't be affected by this.

now if teams continuously cancelled friendlies on them and big time companies humiliated the players by announcing that they won't supply them with gear, then thats when everyones mentality will get effected

Dudes, Spain is in TOTAL CHAOS... the football federation looked at Lopetegui's signing with Madrid as a major "betrayal" and there are rumors circulating that he's going to be sacked before Friday's opener against Portugal and they will have a new coach!

There's a press conference in a little less than an hour. The Spain FA president has had to leave the FIFA congress and fly back to Madrid to deal with this issue... that's how serious it is - total mess 3 days before the first match.

Spain's chances of making it out of the group just went from 90% to 50% in 24 hours which means Iran's chances have improved significantly - I hope!
