After watching the TM vs Tunisia and Algeria games I am now 100% convinced Iran has WAY better chance to beat the Moroccans! Way better! Especially since CQ has seen our weakness and he is working on a 40 day fitness program , We can and will beat Morocco!...

Very Strange for JAPAN FA to do such a thing! but Im certain since CQ has done so well with TM that he has raised the bar with the expectations from ALL the Asian coaches!!

by the way, the Leganés N0.10 player El Zahr which scored the goal of his team vs. Barcelona last night seems also to be a dangerous player. was a nice goal.
Is that a joke? Lol. They would have to be top of the group to face Russia who has likely no chance of finishing first in their own group. I think they just don't have many choices being a relatively poor federation and are just playing whatever friendlies they can line up.

It appears extremely un-japanese to fire their manager so close to the world cup!!

Vahid Halilhodzic has been sacked as head coach of Japan, just two months before they begin their World Cup campaign.

Former Japan international Akira Nishino leaves his role as head of the JFA’s technical committee to succeed him but will have only 10 weeks to prepare his players before their Group H opener against Colombia in Saransk on June 19.

Halilhodzic was appointed in March 2015, having guided Algeria to the last 16 of the previous finals in Brazil, and the Blue Samurai advanced to Russia 2018 as winners of Group B in the Asian section of qualifying.

But their preparations have been thrown into chaos with Monday’s announcement that Halilhodzic has been sacked and Nishino – who guided Gamba Osaka to the J-League crown in 2005 and the AFC Champions League title in 2008 – confirmed as the 65-year-old’s replacement.

Halilhodzic is no stranger to such last-minute turmoil, having been dismissed by Ivory Coast shortly ahead of the 2014 tournament in Brazil, before joining Algeria.

After facing Colombia, Japan take on Senegal and Poland.

On June 13 FIFA will decide about FIFA World Cup 2026. Right now it is just:

              USA/Canada/Mexico vs. Morocco.

All nations can decide/vote for one of them or NONE of them. If the most votes go for None of them, all nations, each continent has a a chance to bid again (europeans and asians also).

But if Morrocco win the Fifa World Cup 2026 on June 13, this can give Morocco extra motivation for the match vs. us on June 15. Probably also FIFA and co. like to see Morocco do a good world cup...

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!

The same thing was being said about Qatar that is host of WC2022 and never have played in a WC. Yet, we beat them twice. So don't put too much into it. Besides, they say Morocco doesn't even have one international level stadium so being host is not very likely.

Is the reverse true as well? So if they lose the hosting rights the team will be so saddened that they will have no motivation to win the WC tie against iran? I somehow don't think so. I think you are reading too much into this

                    Short summary of the friendlies:

                    Morocco:

                    31 May 2018 Morocco v Ukraine
                    4 June 2018 Morocco v Slovakia
                    9 June 2018 Estonia v Morocco

                    Spain:

                    3 June Spain v Switzerland
                    9 June Spain v Tunisia

                    Portugal:

                    28 May 2018 Portugal v Tunisia
                    2 June 2018 Belgium v Portugal
                    7 June 2018 Portugal v Algeria

Portugal will play against Tunesia and Algeria. Perhaps we can see how good they play against these opponents and compare the games to our game.
I will try to watch the Morocco vs Ukraine game. Especially cause I want to see how good this Amine Harit plays in the national team. He was one of the newcomers of the season in Germany and I think he is better than Ziyech.

It seems that Portugal & Spain preparing for Marocoo by playing Tunisia and Algeria but
didnt play an asian team to adapt to TM playing style. Could be nice advantage for us.

Ramos is a dirty animal. Stupid Serbian ref missed it, as usual.
