The group stages will not interfere TM camps at all. It's the R16 games, that will jeopardize the program, but CQ himself said he won't interfere.

My personal opinion is that we should stay in the AFC Champions League regardless as it be a great opportunity for younger or inexperienced players facing a tougher opposition. The whole reason why we want a stronger nation is growth. Players plying their trade in Iran would only go so far. Europe or the Americas or even some African leagues might be a challenge, and will be an opportunity to be part of a new system by trying to adapt to a new playing style. Such diversity will make our TM stronger, and create better opportunities for making our youth system grow.

Yeah a guy like Alipour really showed himself in ACL. Also the likes of Moharrami, Mahini impressed there. Noorafkan was also good at the start of ACL ( especially v Xavi and al sadd), so yes the competetion does result in higher exposure especially for out non TM players, that have potential to become TM players.

How about IFF pay each Iranian team that makes it to the R16 the prize money for making it to the Quaterfinals, so that way teams have nothing to lose in financial terms.

That way, managers will be more inclined to give away their best players in such a crucial time for them.

Just imagine TM being grouped with Saudis for 2022 qualification with only 3.5 available spots available (don't know how AFC will handle that). Assuming top team in each group qualifies, 2nd team from group A plays off with 3rd of group B, and second of group b plays 3rd of group A.

I imagine if Saudis are in our group, we will have to play them in neutral venue, and we will see the ArabFC influence strongly as we get every call going against us. I can already envision it, like playing against Qatar or UAE, but 100 times worse. We are a strong team, but I can veeeeerry easily see us getting screwed by Arab teams out of 2022 world cup. I have a feeling that we will go into WCQ as top seed, Saudis will be a second seed, and we get Australia, UAE, Iraq, and Syria this time around. Basically be in Japan's spot from 2018 WCQ, but have only one direct qualification spot that will see 4 teams specifically gunning to keep us out of the world cup.
